I didn’t mind the “enjoy Burton” crack from them when we went down - to be expected from your local rivals.  But what’s happened since to both clubs is hilarious, everything ALWAYS bites them in the arse, exhibit A Darren Bent scoring for said Burton to send them down [emoji38]. Best local rivals ever and I wouldn’t swap them for anyone

There was a clip of Brian Clough in the pre-match build up on Sunday from the 74 cup final praising our support.

If poor Ian Harte who played a handful of games for them got slaughtered for a nothing comment like that its just as well Cloughie wasn't around to be subjected to their wrath

Anyone want to tell this SMB they’d still be in the division below it?

This jealous sad mackem bastard needs to sit down on his sofa and re-read his many deranged posts on that website over the years.

He is a very strange, bitter man it must be killing him that we won the League Cup.

So if you are having a look on this Mag site sofatester...we won the League Cup..fuck you !!!

Isn't it brilliant, every good side we beat, they automatically think, that they could also "give them a game".

Broken, absolutely broken!

I see the wannabe internet hardman posts on there, talking his non stop bullshit again. The bullshitter, who convinced them all that Dell were buying their club. When it was found out that he had been telling little fibs and that Dell were not buying their club, he took his red face away from RTG, after he was called out by just about everyone for his total bullshit. Was it Riever or something similar? Goes by smug in boots nowadays

There was a few RTG comments on Sunday that were along the lines of:

”the rivalry in the Ashley era was a great time for North East football, both clubs were circling the drain of the premier league and that made it brilliant”

Which just sums up the batshit mental attitude of those hillbilly twats, they’re happy to be relegation fodder as long as the dreaded Mags are equally as shite

They needed us to be dragged down, and they had to ridiculously overspend just to match the worst version of ourselves. I know they had the derbies, but I imagine our average league finish was still higher under Ashley, even.

If anything, the main draw back to our expansion upwards on the current site is Leazes Terrace, a Grade II-listed Georgian building and the light a bigger stadium would block.

Move the stadium back to the park and move the park where the stadium was, Leazes terrace get their pre St. James's park aspect back ( it is a lovely row of buildings and would look even better fronting a park) we get a bigger stadium still in the city centre.

One poster has pointed out that this isn't to do with caring about a park. Post now deleted.

I can't name any parks in their town centre, never mind care about them. It's nowt to do with me.

Mind, they seem upset the Hard Rock cafe in Newcastle is closing, I didn't even know we had one.

I’ve only just learned that our win on Sunday was pre-agreed, courtesy of corruption.

Thanks, as ever, to RTG for their investigative work.

We even had the winners 25 shirts printed, more evidence Liverpool threw it

Love the bit about how Lyon are a similar club to Sunderland. Used to be massive in their league and regularly make the later stages of European competitions etc????

What?😁😄😂🤣😅Screenshot_20250320_123234_Chrome.thumb.jpg.00453ae6068b681e57d662a3f6f666fc.jpg

I see their fantasies extend to having played in the latter stages of European competitions rather than just the four games in their entire history…

Continuing the recurring theme of being the biggest Walter Mittys in world football, one award they win hands down year after year.

If we’d won ‘ten in a row’ that era would’ve remained utterly shite
