Seen the call to arms and riling against the 'happy clappers' - ffs I cant think of a place less happy clappy then there.

The atmosphere is a mixture of absolute death and toxiciity, a manager cant get through 2seasons - sometimes less, any owners get pelters in a similar time frame, the fans that are left at the end boo them off if they don't win and the place is never close to full in the first place.

I'm not so sure this is the 'happy clappers' fault. I think they're just shit and have been for over half a century.

Comparable to Lyon who (relatively) recently won 7 league titles in a row [emoji38]

They've won the same amount of domestic trophies as Sochaux but nowhere near as recently and probably have a worse European pedigree than Guingamp. But neh! lets go with Lyon cos it suits the point he's trying to make.

Pretending they care for Leazes park now i see. So fucking weird.

They seem to have gone into meltdown mode this week. All their fears have came true and they have to just stand and watch then pretend they don't care.

If anything, the main draw back to our expansion upwards on the current site is Leazes Terrace, a Grade II-listed Georgian building and the light a bigger stadium would block.

Move the stadium back to the park and move the park where the stadium was, Leazes terrace get their pre St. James's park aspect back ( it is a lovely row of buildings and would look even better fronting a park) we get a bigger stadium still in the city centre.

One poster has pointed out that this isn't to do with caring about a park. Post now deleted.

I can't name any parks in their town centre, never mind care about them. It's nowt to do with me.

Mind, they seem upset the Hard Rock cafe in Newcastle is closing, I didn't even know we had one.

As if a global brand like Hard Rock would even look twice at their dismal shithole. I doubt they have even a Five Guys or Wagamamas, or even a fucking Pret for that matter. Insignificant failing little hovel that it is. Though I did take the bairn once and their burgers were overpriced and decidedly 'meh' so no great loss.

Of course the two mackems in my circle have all of a sudden decided that football "as we know it" is dead and trophies mean nowt in this new age of spending money on players. Haven't they heard they're the new Lyon??

Aye conveniently ignoring reports that leazes park will be upgraded, revamped and actually have more green space added than currently. Something that would be vastly needed anyway, as the park is massively run down and downgraded.

Ant n Dec could negotiate world peyce on the same day Jimmy Nail cured cancer and Shearer found a way to end global poverty and them daft cunts down the road would still find a reason to whinge about Newcastle, howl FTM at the moon and obsess over their falsified attendances

This is actually very nearly bang on.  Awful set of supporters that I had the misfortune to supervise quite a lot of them a few years back. I obviously had to be professional but there was very rarely any REAL banter.  They were just so bitter.  ALL of the time, even if they won.  They hate Newcastle football club and anyone associated with the football team.  Its quite bizarre.  They loved it when they won the derby and took their £10 bet from me but ............ and this is totally honest when I went to get my bet money from them, there was always bother and animosity.  Unlike my handshake and a "well done" from me.  Horrible fans!

Genuinely don't think I have ever seen a fan base as broken as them lot are now on rtg. They just keep telling themselves over and over that it's only a tinpot cup and they don't care we won it and they would never celebrate it like we would if they had the same owners . It's almost as if they believe by saying it enough times it will become true .

To be fair it must be fucking hard, bitterest rivals winning something more importantly on a massively upwards trajectory........ whilst they're just sitting in the cow pat playing a banjo.

They also know it will never happen to them, we are the regions club and they will always be seen by investors as a distant second

I’ve only just learned that our win on Sunday was pre-agreed, courtesy of corruption.

Thanks, as ever, to RTG for their investigative work.

Aye we booked a week in advance because that’s what big, well run organisations do, it’s also common sense to have it booked in case of a win than not book it until last min. Turns out a celebration involving thousands of people needs a bit more of a heads up than a knees up for not winning a cup final 40 years ago down the local social with only a few party poppers and sausages on sticks to have to worry about.

They also colluded to let us qualify for the Champions League 2 seasons ago I suppose.

Also let us get to the carabao cup final two years ago but then changed their minds because us winning would look too suspicious only 2 years into Saudi reign.

Oh, wow. That is shocking man. It's bad enough that he thinks it but he's written it down. On a public forum. Bet he doesn't get banned though because it's what they're all thinking. Odious bunch of cunts.

To be fair it would be interesting to get the actual link for that thread, I'd be surprised if there has been much support for that comment and there's probably a lot of them disagreeing.

Looks like it's been parsnipped so more agreeing with him than not I'd say.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't some push back to his comment mind.

Daft cunts now trying to measure the achievement of their 73 win against ours. They are absolutely in bits and it's great to see. Only going to get worse for the chicken town fuckers also

1973, gtf.

For context, our winning the league in 1927 was closer to their FA Cup win in 1973, than their 1973 win is to Sunday.
