Weakened teams early round they're spouting. Conveniently forgetting or ignoring, that we also played a weakened team in those games also. With Premier League squads, these are the games where a squad is utilised (same with FA Cup). It's an opportunity to give squad players more game time and to test their attitude, effort and form in case of injuries, where they will possibly be available to be selected. I didn't see Arsenal or Liverpool play a weakened team in the games against us. Liverpool were missing one usual first team player due to injury, whilst we were missing three of hours.

 

Anything for their comfy blanket though, I've never seen a set of fans throw so many laughable stuff to try and hide their total fewn and increasing realism that it's going to get worse in future years. Post below is a perfect example of your current Sunderland supporter. So desperate, they are now trying to get any form of oneupmanship by using the lasses game for their crumb of superiority. I wonder if he was there on Sunday. Sky only constantly showed Shearer, Ant and Dec, but I know Robson Green was going and I would imagine a few of our celebrity fans would be there also. Same with Liverpool also, as if I'm correct, they only showed Gerrard.

my dad was the year below as was the missus dad and they say / said the same. 
 

I went to a recent event at the live theatre where he was talking about his life and he admitted growing up in wallsend and being arty he got a lot of shit from local skinheads etc and only ever wanted uk move away from the NE. He says now he looks very fondly on his childhood and the area and admits (sort of) he was a bit of an idealistic arsehole who felt trapped.

 

when asked about football he admitted he wasn’t a big fan like Jimmy nail who was in the front row but he did look out for NUFC snd would watch them in games if he could dnd said it was great for the area they were on the up again.
