A mackem posts in the sunderland thread and is just met by a barrage of "fuck off"s - I mean, really? He's every right to be happy at the moment. They've started really well. They look like they'll probably do better than many thought (Relegated with single-figure points) and at the moment they look at least competitive. Obviously things change and they may struggle in future games, but they've done what they needed to do in the early fixtures. Their fans are understandably pleased, football is about the moment not the future, we can't expect all mackems to spend the whole season moping just because they might ultimately go down, let them enjoy their good start.
