There have varying predictions of how well the Makems are going to do this year after an 8 year gap from the PL. Thought it might be interesting to keep track of their points total over the season and compare it to their best ever PL season, 7th place with 58 points, 1.53 points per game (PPG) in 1999-00, their average PL season (1.02 PPG) of the 16 completed seasons they have competed in, their worse ever season (0.39 PPG, 2005-06) and the average points total for teams relegated in 18th place (0.92 PPG, ave over 33 seasons).
The chart doesn’t take account of relative difficulty of teams played per month or whether home or away. It just uses average PPG for each of the above and the number of games per month this season.
Thus far, unsurprisingly as historically they only average 10 wins (range 3-16) after two wins from 3, they are on track for their best ever season.

Don't mean to piss on your data chips, but that chart is null & void unless xG is added to it

I made that, years ago. [emoji38] Added the hair and glasses from what I remember. Can't lay claim to his slack faced gump look though.

I've often wondered who was behind the creation of Napoleon Dynashite

And now you have revealed yourself

I doff my cap to you and your involvement in a longstanding piece of N-O folklore

A load of bollocks and they are lapping it in. For a start they have made an operating loss of £17.5 million. That is certainly not a nothing or little loss. Their targeted PSR is only a £61 million loss for the three seasons (including this one). So that leaves a £43.5 million loss they are allowed this current season.

The attendance is 46,000 not 48,000, with the  cheapest average season ticket prices and the fact they never sell out anyway (as we have seen already in the first two matches), despite their bullshit attendance figures.

Their overall wages will have doubled compared to the previous season also. Then the big one their £141.4 million net spend. The three relegated clubs only received £116 million or below in prize money.

As I said the other day, unless they have major investment coming in and/or major sales before 30th June 2026, then these fuckers are going to have major major problems moving forward. Relegation will be a total catastrophe. Thick fuckers over there actually think they are doing well PSR wise.

Those quotes are the Leeds chairman aren't they?

It's just getting his excuses in early if the mackems stay up at their expense and also early priming of Leeds support that they're going to go the same route in terms of signings/"the model" long-term. I mean claiming the mackems have the biggest PSR room in history ffs!

But aye, they're enjoying the "plaudits for being a well run club" for the time being, another feather in their cap to go with being applauded in and out of the country's drinking establishments by supporters of other teams and lauded as the best away day and support in the leyg.

Tend to agree, based off my own interactions. Who's your club?

Seaham Park

I heard rumours of a comment one of them made when one of our junior sides beat them in a final on their own patch the other day

something along the lines of 'we should be beating these council estate cricketers'

That doesn't surprise me at all, when I was batting against their firsts once upon a time I hit a four and a very well known player said "They've just leapt out of their mobility scooters to applaud that one" and I actually thought it was quite funny.

Actually think I was batting with Dale at the time as well :D

That's the lad on the left I think. Originally nicknamed Mickpoleon Dynashite [emoji38]
I added the shitter. Though honestly, it doens't look out of place.

Cracking up here because I genuinely don't remember if I added the dog pawing at it's own shite, or if it's actually in the original photo.

Shame so many of the other pics are lost now. That moment was golden.

What does this mean ?

Basically they have won again, we have no clear plan set out how to beat a newly promoted team twice in a season & qualifying for Europes premier tournament was a bad move given we have no chance of beating them due to travelling 3 hours to Germany

Were amateurs
