They've made a conscious choice to fill stadiums with spoiled bastards paying top whack so they can't complain when these fans think have tantrums as soon as things go wrong. I've even seen a couple of examples on twitter of sunderland, back in the top flight 5 minutes after a decade away, purposefully aggravating/alienating long-standing fans who stuck with them in division three just to cash in now that demand has suddenly increased.
