I still find it mental they're already on the way to Australia. Modern footballers really do not get time to recover at all.

All these round the world friendlies pre-season and now post-season....and clubs will complain about too many games and want to remove the League Cup or reduce teams in the PL

Is that not an avenue clubs are forced down due to the financial constraints placed upon them by the league?

You've already heard Eddie say it's less than perfect, but probably something we feel we have to do to make up ground where we can. And obviously Darren eales remit seems to be engage as much overseas supporters as possible.

On anywhere?

Not sure. Spurs seem to be showing it on their “SpursPlay” but you need an account, not sure if it is a paid thing or not.

You’d hope they put it on NUFC TV but will drop a message in here if I see anything else

I flew from Newcastle back to Melbourne on Friday and I'm still absolutely wiped out. Was supposed to be at work at 7am today and didn't wake up til 12. I can't even fathom playing a professional football match so soon after a long trip.

I'll be going to both matches so hopefully the lads aren't too fucked.

Imagine if you have to go play the Euros this summer too.

We'd all trade places in a heartbeat, but Bruno's life:

Run more than anyone in the PL over a grueling 10 months > fly to Australia > fly back to England (presumably) > 10ish days off? > fly somewhere in the USA > play Mexico in f'ing Texas on June 8 (central time) > play the US in Orlando on June 12 (eastern time) > 10 days of training camp somewhere (California?) > three Copa America group stage games in LA, Vegas, and SF in a week > QF in Arizona > SF in Charlotte > final in Miami > 10 days off > join NUFC for Japan? > repeat long season

Maybe he skips the Japan tour if Brazil go all the way to the final, but either way it's pretty relentless.

Obviously, and Brazil probably travel around the US like they are Led fucking Zeppelin circa 1972.

Can certainly see why some players might be annoyed this week though.

Really hoping the players that started on the weekend only make a late cameo appearance at most on Wednesday.

65 hours between finishing the Brentford game and the kick off for this.  Over 20 of which will be spent in a plane causing dehydration, lower oxygen saturation and where they won't be able to perform any active recovery.  Sounds a like a recipe for muscle injuries.

Just looking at the squad list for this, wonder why we're bothering to take De Bolle and Diallo when they're being released? Surely we're better off taking a few more kids who might have a future here?

The type of questions you’d like journalists to ask, instead you get ‘ how much would you like to qualify for Europe this year?’

Anyone that goes will be a bit pissed off. Therefore it makes sense to take players that don’t have a future as it doesn’t matter if you do annoy them.
