'Imagine someone that's a bit like a much faster, even more skillful Beardsley' is how my lass's dad described him. Completely understandable to have him as your favourite ever if that's anywhere near accurate like.

I was only 6/7 when we had Beardsley at the end of his career in the Entertainers side, only really watched bits of him on old compilations etc. I've no idea how good Beardsley really was. It's a real shame like, he was a genius. Natural ability and skill only matched (and surpassed if we're being honest) by Ben Arfa, but with the heart and determination of Shearer, and a brain and level of unselfishness that was all his own. Best player I've seen in my lifetime for us.

Paully
Horrendous kick-off times and it’ll be the Sunday FFS 📆 Our fixture against Chelsea at St. James' Park on Saturday, 10 May will now kick-off at 12.30pm. Absolute bollocks ko time from a fans pov, but Chelsea will be playing away in the second leg of the Conference semi on the Thursday night, so pretty short turnaround time for them. Although for all they’ve done that pretty much the whole way through the tournament, might be a bit different once you hit the semis. Having said that, if it’s nip and tuck with us for CL, they probably will prioritise our game.
Paully
Yeah they'll definitely play a 2nd team in Europe - can't ever recall a 12pm Sunday kick off in the Premier League? Sure we had a few vs the mackems in the old Division One (or Two at the time!)?!

Palmer has been registered for example.
