@leffe186 How do you feel about Son lately? Is he just being managed after injury and internationals?

Yeah he’s being managed full stop. He’d arguably be playing much fewer minutes too if Richarlison, Odobert and Moore were fit…but they’re not, so he’ll still probably see at least 60mins in every Premier League game. You just have to make the decision of whether that’s worth it.

It’s long overdue - Korea basically play him in every game and that’s an absolute ton of travel too. He’s still brilliant.

Yeah, input is allways great though. Difficult question, but do you expect Johnson and/or Maddison to match or get more g/a the coming games? Son is a difficult one for me to predict this season.

Oh yeah that’s really difficult to call. Some of it will depend upon whether Bentancur’s ban is upheld. I’d expect all three to be rotated somewhat. Maddison  has the advantage of probably taking free kicks and pens if he’s on the pitch. Johnson will probably score more. I genuinely think it’s a toss-up between all three over the Xmas period.

Bottled doing a minus 8 to get Salah Isak and Joao Pedro.  Only did the first 2 which has already paid off but JP would’ve been a fantastic hit already.

The Champ is good at this game.  Need to trust my gut more. Patience really worked out for me last season but I have to remember I actually liked my team which is why I could be patient.

I need JP and Saka to be happy with my team. Then I can make small changes from there.

Doubt there's anyone else outside the top 1.5m with this high an opinion of themselves.

Joao Pedro was a beyond obvious move this week and you're carrying on like you (nearly) scouted a kid from the U16s.

I had him btw :smugdog:

It's definitely not a beyond-obvious move this week for an -8 [emoji38]

Bournemouth beat City and Arsenal at home and was the better team against us. I think their best games are to come. I wasn't convinced it was worth a further hit, and Isak against Wham is a better fixture than Bournemouth away. Maybe it's the obvious move with 3 FTs but not with 1.

Worst rank in the last 3 seasons is 112k. That's enough to win most casual mini-leagues. I expect to do no worse than 250k in a game of 6m active players. I'm good at the game, sorry if that offends you pal.

the game is 90% luck

Like with every game based on a lot of randomness (poker for example), the higher the sample size, the more telling it is. You're supposed to maximize the odds in your favour, and pure luck usually evens out quite a lot over time. Monthly winner is mostly luck. The season winner is way more skill. Ofcourse you're also dependant on a bit of luck if you're competing against other highly skilled players, but luck by itself won't get you that far.

The biggest luck factor must be the first few gameweeks, as those are very important. But here the best players does a lot of research before the season.

You lads take my posts too seriously and are easily rattled.

While I’m the Champ, I’ll be referring to myself as such.

The game has a large component of luck. But like real life, you often have to make your own luck. It’s more luck than random. Luck as in - increasing your own chances by picking players with good fixtures, underlying stats, ability, confidence.  The Salah vs Haaland thing has had a big element of luck. Similar underlying statistics - wildly different outcomes.

Aye it’s a game of probabilities.

Not sure saying luck based game was the right term, that seemed like a contradiction, but I think everyone gets the point anyways haha.

I really want Pedro myself, but I have Jackson, Isak and Cunha. Wondering if I should've just gone for Pedro over Jackson for the funds, but spending a transfer to get rid of an in form Jackson doesn't seem like a great idea. I suppose I'll just have to hope Pedro doesn't go crazy. If any of my strikers gets injured or I need the funds, I'll do the transfer later. Just sucks that his price will go up very fast.

I think Jackson is a good choice if your budget allows.

That front 3 probably means you don’t

/wont own all 3 Palmer, Saka and Salah.

While people can say there is luck in this, the Haaland pricing has been bang on this year. He is the best player in the game, and is priced so high that if he doesnt perform you take a significant rank hit. He will get 4 in one game at some point and those who stuck with him will catch up again.

I do have all of those. Except I have Son instead of Saka. Unfortunately I have 0.0 in the bank, so I can't switch. Saka seems like the better option for sure, but I didn't consider this issue when I spent all my funds before the weekend. I realised it right after, before the gameweek even started.[emoji38] I'll probably roll and see if I still want to make the change after, then I can use 2 free subs for it.

My defence is pretty cheap bar Raya and Gabriel, that's how I managed to afford it all.
