Fantasy Premier League (2024/25)

Recommended Posts

So I bring in Son some weeks ago as Ange said he was fine in the midweek. He turned out to be injured that weekend. I keep him in instead of Saka for a while, but he keeps stinking it up for me. I decide to wait 1 extra round with doing the transfer, to avoid a hit. Saka gets 18 and Son 2. I do the transfer, and since then Saka has given me 9 points in 4 and gotten injured. Son has played 3 with one more coming tomorrow, earning 22 points in those 3. Love this game.

This game is daft. The pricing is so generous. Everyone Johnny-come-lately has picked up Isak.

Pricing should be far more discriminatory and price swings far more volatile.

If Saka is out, I don't even have a way to reinvest the money from selling. I'll have a bunch of money floating around without having a good way to spend it. Usually you have money saved for an expensive transfer, but there are none that makes sense.

I think I just find more comfort in picking a more consistent one like Salah. For some that's probably boring, though, and Isak might very well outscore him. Usually when I pick someone else than the mainstream one it goes horribly wrong.[emoji38]

Isak captain, Diaz, Cunha, Milenkovic and Johnson with change from the rest posting me to 72, think it'll be 76 after bonuses are applied. Sadly Rogers is on the bench and that little fuck Saka got me 1 point after crying off with a broken bone or something, could have been on for 85+.

I've never really been into this FPL stuff - only used it for the other footy comp to see who was playing who - so apols for all of the daft questions - so here's the next one -

With regard to the rating of the teams - I'm taking it that this is a variable number - so going on either / both a teams position in the league and there performance then their rating will change - as it's interesting to see that only Liverpool and Arsenal are currently 5, with Man Shitty dropping to 4, and even with their high placings - Bournemouth, Fulham, Forest etc are only 3's.

Made a bold approach - dropped Saka - think he's going to be out for a few weeks - but with no decision being made until the last minute - and I don't have access that way over the next few days - dropped him, got Isak and Murphy in place, and still have some money left over for the manager buying thing later.

Fast approaching not being bottom of the league, it's now only a matter of time as I can see several people aren't playing (ie not doing it regularly - if at all) - so the only way is up.

Here's are next 10 fixtures FWIW.

The pricing is excellent this year. City not showing up this season killed it. Last year you’d expect at least 5 goals from Haalands next 3, and it’s an obvious captain. This year no one owns him.

Foden at 9.5 not even an option either.

Looking like Saka is going to be out for an extended period - bit of a shakeup in terms of the template which has formed in the last couple of months.

Anyone have a clear idea in terms of where they're looking in terms of replacements? Personally weighing up B. Fernandes, Diaz and Martinelli. If not, may look to downgrade to one of the cheaper mids and keep the cash for elsewhere/further down the line.

Ode or Bruno F for me. Not many options I feel good about.

also need to replace Cunha most likely, hoping I get another week out of him.

My front line hasn't been great - so took the opportunity to have a shake up - brought isak and cunha in, dropped Saka - and got Sarr - also dropped Wissa. and have money in the bank for GW24 if needed.

I think it might be a case of watching and waiting (but to move quickly) as with all new manager changes - the players want to seem to be 'impressive' so want to play - as otherwise in 8 or 9 days time they may be out of the club whether they like it or not.

I mean just look at the Wolves performance and also So'ton's - lose the manager and the temp gets the team playing better.

Diaz minutes big concern for me or would've went for him, don't think him or Jota are viable options right now.

Saka injury is massive, I'm doing ok (I'm mondatoon), but feel like ripping my team up now lol, could easy take a  -12 or -16, no idea what I'm actually going to do.

Still feel as though I need to keep enough money back for when Man City inevitably find form to bring Haaland back in

He’s just so expensive. I want Foden to replace Saka but it’s such a risk. I can’t explain why he is shit now. Rodri injury should not have derailed them this badly
