I think the main issue with an open system in the US would be attendances/economy for non-top flight clubs. It's a fucking massive country, and without secured income and shit like that not a lot of clubs will have the chance to be competitive on a national level. I remember watching them in the South-Eastern Conference Playoff Match against the Tucson Oreos way back in '09 and there was some great play in that game, an awesome hustle between Adayagar and Adayagar 2 in the centre kick right from the courtside.
