I hope Liverpool have learnt their lesson that you can't bully clubs into selling their players

And now onto Brentford...

is there any way to spin this as man u's fault? I want to yell at froggy but they're kind of blameless in this

Could say it’s all their fault due to the way they’ve went on in the past and setting the precedent. That works for me.

Hopefully by the Villa game the striker we want to keep and the one we want to buy might get a bit of “proper” training in.

Wasn't Villa our first game last season?

Anyone come up with a logical reason why Liverpool would have low balled us to then give up?

Test the waters, make their pursuit public, hope Isak forces a move. Kick Newcastle while they're down after a tough summer and maybe a nod to their own approach to signings.

Think it ends up getting done at 120 plus 10 in achievable add ons. Don't think this is one that can be put to bed like when Kane was pushing for a move. Isak will feel like he owes nothing and I don't think he'll be a model pro when it comes down to it. He was rumoured to be unsettled last season and for the first 3 months he played like it, then was unplayable until April when he dropped off again. I don't think he's the type of player you want to force to eat humble pie just to send a message.

Also think it'll be a bad move for Liverpool, they've completely changed their approach to recruitment and have lost the run of themselves a bit, could see it backfiring on them

In a normal world yes, however our Chairman has more money in the ash tray in his car than Liverpool have full stop.

That first home game is looking a bit spicy.

I’ve literally never felt this way before but I’m actually desperate to see Big Jam come on as an injury time sub to put a reducer on VVD or something. Get into them, fuck ‘em up.

So Liverpool do this "We've pulled out" lie all the time. They'll bid again before the window closes. I hope they are told to fuck off and utterly humiliated.

They didnt sign either Van dijk or Alisson until the next transfer window after saying they had ended their interest though.

Made similar comment early this week after seeing him (Supermac) in local Morrisons.

Tynemouth Morrisons? Seem him in there once before and seen him in Tescos on Norham Road 2 Sundays in a row a few weeks ago as well. I clocked a bloke a bit older than me looking at him and then clearly saying to his wife "I'm sure that's Supermac!" As I walked past him I just smiled and said "Aye it is".

Liverpool have a habit of this ‘tactic’ first VVD then…

this is by no means the end with these cunts

Next transfer window they signed him. Same applies to Van Dijk

Aye, and if they try that with Isak next summer good luck to them cos they'll have much stiffer competition from bigger clubs
