Didn't look particularly enthused when the idea of a new contract was floated.

I think out of all our purples he’s going to be the one that breaks our heart first. Just a gut feeling. :(

Interesting thing I got about that is that Arsenal fans have gone on about Isak growing up supporting Arsenal, but he says in the video he only watched Spanish football growing up.

He’s never been an Arsenal fan, he was a boyhood AIK fan, and he played for them before moving to Germany.

He is said to be a fan of Henry, but he would have been 7 when he left Arsenal, so likely only had a very limited memory of him being at Arsenal.

Thank you.  He's going nowhere.

I don't think he will either Rod. He's in the form of his life and I think he's very happy here. He'll play coy about his deal but I believe this gets done in the summer. Hopefully with us in the Champions league, or Europe as a minimum.

If all our transfer budget was spent on retaining Isak (singing on fee, salary etc etc) .... what would you think?

That our transfer budget was surprisingly small.

Will sign a new contract and be given the number 9 shirt before new shirt release.

If he signs a new contract I'll have a release of my own

Yes it was very boring.

He's not the most charismatic, like. Fortunately he's absolutely amazing at football.

Not sure if you're talking about Shearer or Isak here but I think Shearer actually is charismatic. He just has this restrained boring BBC persona on TV unfortunately. If you cut him loose he'd be much more entertaining to watch.

I was on about Isak but have you watched/listened to The Rest Is Football? Shearer is very much himself on that.

Isak is really good crack on some of the nufc content, but I imagine a bit more guarded with stuff like this which is understandable.
