Alexander Isak: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)

Recommended Posts

Think he’d do a little better if we played through the middle more but we’re not set up for that.
Looks a little low on confidence atm.
Hopefully he terrifies Arsenal.

He’s been miles off it since the final. Has to be playing through something. As I’m not having it’s all down to form or our service to him.

Yeah was about to mention this, almost seems like whatever happened is still affecting him

Might be injuries, but the guy is also not as ice cold as many people here like to think I believe. Both in Sweden and Real Sociedad, and even here he seem to struggle with demons in his head a lot when he havn't scored in a while.

He scored last week. And the week before.

He clearly tweaked something when he attempted that twisting behind him finish towalds the end of the final and hasn't been right since that moment.

Fair enough but I think Isak, and strikers in general see a huge difference between scoring pens and scoring goals from open play.

He was warming up in front of my seat against Brentford, he was being watched by the medical team and he it was clear to see he wasn't running comfortably. Looks like a hip injury to me.

Whether you think it was mind games or not. He missed the game at Anfield with a groin problem and has had them in the past. Don’t think it’s a coincidence, personally.

I’m not on about his lack of goals. It’s his all round play, speed, dribbling and how he often seems to be on his heels. So unlike him.

He isn’t even getting many good chances of late. He was snatching at them a lot earlier in the season. But he was still getting 2-3 decent chances a game a lot of the while.

In all fairness he’s not had a decent supply in the last few games, and I think like most in the squad, he’s knackered.

Exactly - The supply to him has been awful- been feeding off scraps for weeks. Likes ball to feet not hoofed into the box

On the beach?

Wouldn’t like to think so. He’s a yard or two off the pace, concentration isn’t there; some poor attempts.

From Villa onwards perhaps, but prior to that the service to him was great.

Aye he did his bit off the ball. No complaints about graft.  His touch and decisions have been poor for some time. Didn’t have any good efforts on goal.

I disagree there was times in the second half when chelsea could just play at there leisure at the back and he didn't try to harry or anything he just stood there watching.

PSG game last year springs to mind with him not been able to work off the ball. Howe needs to use his attacking subs to get him off early after 60 minutes.

He’s not 100%, no way.

Probably not, but I think most people would still rather he started the last two matches ahead of Wilson or Osula unless he's completely knackered.
