They also said we agreed personal terms with Pedro, Ekitike & Trafford. Unless a deal between the clubs are done it’s not close

Personal terms were only agreed with Trafford. Fact remains, there is ZERO indication to suggest that Liverpool are walking away from Ekitike.

Starting to feel a bit like the Carroll sale this. Heard the initial approach on the radio in the morning going to work, laughed out loud. Followed the saga all day until he was sold. I wasn’t laughing then. We may think this all a load of bollocks but somethings not right. On top of the underwhelming window we are having this is a worry. When are PIF going to get a grip of things. Howe is conjuring up miracles on the pitch, it’s time for them to match his performance.

He said he travelled to Glasgow

He didn't travel to Glasgow. Was obviously pre arranged after leaving Austria (at the height of the speculation), and after he was already set to not play a single minute in the Celtic matchIMG_20250719_205302.thumb.jpg.0e7c2a22264c6c3118c86b9bad6b970d.jpg

Yep. I still remember well Pardew's "no sale on Carroll" comments. We all know what happened next.

The difference then though was you pretty much knew we’d have no intention of spending the money.

Another 6 weeks of this speculation to come. ???

For the record, if Isak wants to move - it will happen. Howe won't want an unhappy player around the club. Just hope that we have a good replacement lined up if so.

We wont have a replacement lined up. He cant be allowed to leave, no matter what.

True, but like Carroll, Isak is worth more to us than the money. It makes no sense to sell him, is he unhappy because he wants an improved contact from us or does he genuinely want to join Liverpool? Surely the latter can’t be true….

Downie has a direct quote from Howe saying he was in Glasgow.

If we can't afford to keep him on a new contract then we need to start hawking him out to Madrid and Barca asap, at the very least to get Liverpool to increase their bids.

It feels like working minimum wage but having a partner with expensive taste. Pure stress.

We really messed up by not extending him many months ago but there’d still probably be speculation.

Can’t blame him or his agent for wanting £300k+. Hopefully we can figure out a deal that works on both sides - will be never ending until then.

TBF, we were owned by Mike Ashley then.

Not saying it’s going to happen but if PIF sold Isak now to Liverpool it would as bad as anything Ashley did in my opinion. After Howe won a trophy and qualified for the CL.

Exactly. I had no confidence we would hang onto Carroll or any of our good players if an offer was made. It was Ashely and Pardew ffs.

I’m beginning to twist my thoughts a bit and thinking this is a power play from Howe. To what end I don’t know but he’s never usually so sloppy with his quotes and the fact the quotes kept coming and got worse each time. That’s got to be deliberate

imagine Howe’s went I’ll get you a new contract Alex watch this

We are going to be playing 50+ games this season. No way we sell our only striker at this stage in the window. Even if Isak throws his toys out the pram we can't afford to lose him.

We can still command a massive fee for him next summer when Lewandowski & Kane will most likely need replacing

It did make me wonder, what if Eales et al, are entertaining selling him for PSR purposes (our Coutinho/Grealish sale). It would tie in with the adoration comments.
