Seriously, am I the only one who doesn't think Eddie did anything wrong today? I reckon people are overthinking it. They're picking apart every word like there's some hidden meaning, you know? I watched the whole thing, and honestly, I don't see anything to get worked up about.

Think he made some comments that was unnecessary.

Understand that footballers careers are short.

"At this moment" he is sure that he will travel to Asia.

Left Isak home because of transfer speculation.

It all just adds fuel to the speculation imo.

Nothing wrong with the comments, just unnecessary..

The 4 minute clip? That's not the whole thing. Some of the reported comments aren't there at least.

Eddie very rarely says something he doesn't mean to say. Think the quotes on Isak are strange. Farewell sweet prince kind of strange.. Or maybe he's just tired of dealing with scummy agents and disinterested players but I was kinda hoping he'd embrace being in charge of transfers this summer.  Ah well, full support from me.. I'm sure he's doing his best. Unlike the directors at the club.

Yeah, I read the other comments from Ben Jacobs and all those guys, and I still think people are overthinking it and dissecting every little thing. You can totally twist things if you look at it like that, but anyway, like I said, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Isak is currently being paid 2.5 less than he could be with a move to another club. Of course he is unsettled. If you were elite at your job, you would want to be paid what your worth. I think Eddie saying it’s a short career also eludes to the fact that he is underpaid at the moment.

I don’t see how Liverpool can afford him after signing Ekitike. I think this all. Has to do with accelerating his new contract with a release clause inserted.

They’ll sell Diaz, Nunez & Harvey Elliott and assume they’ll get some sort of pay out for Jota

Football is the longest career going in the UK. Happy to die on that hill.

Get paid before a teenager. 20-30yrs as a footballer. Then progress to coach then manager or a pundit either TV or radio.

Such a myth 🙂

Need another defender or two, yeah? They've got three senior center-backs right now, and they'll have to replace Diaz if they sell him.

Plus, they wouldn't sign Ekitike if they could get Isak. It's one or the other for them. That wage bill is gonna be insane. If they get both and sign a CB plus a replacement for Diaz. I dont see that happening myself.

this is a fair point. If we want him to stay, we need to give him a new contract that is more in line with his worth.

He’ll never get £300k a week here, but he’s worth more than he’s on , and that’ll annoy him. It would annoy anyone.

Gotta get him to like, 200/250, I think.

Tonali's gonna be around that too very soon. We gotta bump up our wage structure a bit, or we will constantly be picked off by other clubs who pay bigger wages.

We don’t know what they can or can’t spend. Like us they hadn’t bought anyone for 3 windows and they’ll got well over £150m back for this 4 players. Which obviously gives them a lot to spend

Yeah, but considering the other areas they need strengthening, it's probably not gonna happen that they get Isak this summer after signing Ekitike.

Liverpool's moved on from Isak for this summer atleast I think. It's just us, the fans and social media, keeping that rumor going. All for clicks and likes, I guess. We'll see what happens this week, maybe they'll actually finish up the Ekitike deal, which everyone's saying is basically done. Or pivot back to Isak. I highly doubt they go for both.

Heard a rumour they can potentially spend another 150million before player sales?

Honestly it fucking kills me how people don’t understand the concept that he’s earned a bumper. It’s done in every fucking sport across the world and it’s done by many many clubs across football and particularly when you have one of the best players in his position in the world. It’s 2025 not 1992 football. Love it or hate it that is football.

Which players play for 30 years professionally?  What proportion of footballers become pundits / managers?

Wouldn’t surprise me. Won the league, CL money, adidas money, 3 windows without a signing, £10m pure profit on Trent, dunno how it works but insurance money on Jota all before they sell 3 players for big money
