It could well be Liverpool are tapping him up. We wanted him as well as Ekitike, who's to say they don't?

I'm not saying they do FWIW, but he will find a club which will pay him top wages, I'm pretty sure of that. I think we'll offer him a better contract with a release clause of around £150m so we'll get at least another year out of him.

Pretty obvious now Ekitike would have been his replacement.

Probably take 3 transfer windows to sort a deal of that size out. By which time he'll be at Arsenal and worth 160 mil.

Possibly 🤣

I think my point is more what's left amortisation of Isaks deal now and selling for 130 but spending say 90 means it just pays for itself if it was sesko we would be getting someone 3 or 4 years younger with no pedigree of prem goals we have had out of Isak. Can see why the club would demand more but depends how much of a stinker the player could kick up.

Anyway enough of the hypertheticals hopefully he's here to stay.

I am surprised he's not been subject to bids from any clubs - not that I am aware of anyway

Only rumours are arsenal pivoted and man united "baulked" at the price.

Fee reports have been anything as much as 110m euro and as low as 70m euro so who knows what's going on.

It seems pretty obvious we've told him and his agents under no uncertain terms he's not for sale this summer.

Next summer is a different story, there will be a much bigger market for him if he doesn't sign a new contract.

I blame Mitchell for not offering him a contract last year - our hand would have been a lot stronger now. That bloke has turned out to be a disaster.

Not if the deal had a release clause which his camp were insisting. Would’ve been worse off.

Put a release clause but make it £200mil - the Agent has the club by the balls now

Just have a feeling he’ll eventually go to Barca to replace Lewandowski or potentially go to PSG.

I'm fine with that, but not Liverpool.

Liverpool getting both Isak and Ekitike for combined 200 million pounds while we flail about trying to limbo under some arbitrary PSR line would be emblematic of the PL's complete failure to be a functioning, competitive sports league.

Being an american sports fan and watching this bullshit is beyond infuriating.

Imagine we sell Isak and sign Wissa

And spend the Isak fee on wages while we flirt with some middle of the road forward for six windows.

The release clause will be what the agent and player want, as will the wages. Probably why it didn’t get done.

Don’t injured players always train on their own with the fitness coaches? Seems like a normal thing

He trained with all the squad in Austria [emoji38] but copium here

Every session? You’ve no way of knowing that. If they are managing his minutes in games what makes you think they aren’t managing his minutes training too.
