Aye. His replacement.

Point being, I don’t think we need to keep an Isak agreement secret to be able to do a deal for someone else.

Possible, but I doubt it. If all was agreed between clubs and player, and we wanted to keep it discreet I doubt we'd have the noise we've seen today. They would have told everyone to keep quiet until after we sign a few players.

The fact that the announcement that he wanted a move away, came so soon after we said he wouldn't be on the asia trip due to injury would be a blatant agent move to put pressure on the situation. Would be no need if all parties had agreed behind the scenes

I disagree. News has to trickle down. We already saw the the stuff with training, scan, Howe's comments. Yesterday was about what happened 12 months ago, wage increase that didn't come, putting some blame on Mitchell, mentioned the sell on clause etc. It's what clubs do to soften the blow.

Reports saying he has a verbal agreement with the club and that he can leave for a specific fee. I don't think he's a player we'd get quoted something ridiculous. Others on the other hand.

Which reports say he has a verbal agreement with the club?

Red Bull clubs are known for this! Players know it's a stepping stone. They don't hold players against their wishes and usually have a set price in mind.

If thats the case there's little point in trying to keep any Isak deal quiet. Cats out the bag now anyway. Even if there is no deal other clubs will assume there is.

Looking back with a sober mind and nights sleep this has been coming mind, we as fans either didn't notice or refused to accept it.

Which other player in world football is literally "injured" for months on end yet at the same time starting multiple times per week? He was visibly more frustrated and moody last season also often throwing arms when he didn't get his way/ball passed to it. And all this is without the absolutely lack of effort made for long periods in matches.

And yesterday we got the truth, the man is doing his absolute best to engineer himself a move to Liverpool. Hope he's sent to dessert and enjoys playing with Duran.

Personally I don't want to see him in our shirt again, he has no respect for his team mates, the club, it's fans or his manager who has made him into the player he is. This isn't about a contract let's not kid ourselves he's just a selfish cunt.

We're restricted by PSR. We've missed out on a couple of players. Elanga fee took a huge chunk out of our budget. All that is obvious to everyone. Not keeping it quiet does us no favour.

True, I mean he did say... well he's said stuff that proves all this somewhere, I'm sure. He must have.

Why listen to words when they can be a load of shit, rather analyse actions to have a true understanding of intent.

That's a lot like the Bee Gees song 'Words'.  Maybe less prosaic.

Well done for coming up with the worst take of them all

Please go Ahead and rebut then?

I know he's your favourite player, he was mine too but let's be objective here.

You've literally claimed he has feigned an injury for several months, something that would be detrimental to the rest of his career

Would it? He's refused to play that isn't going to be detrimental. Clubs don't care as long as they get there player.

What injury allows for a player to to play every week multiple times and put an effort on for 30 mins then walk around for the rest of it? It didn't make sense at the time but hey ho, our star man benefit of the doubt and all that. That's no longer the case everything is questionable.

To be clear my stance is simple NUFC over any player.

Always thought he would leave, but always though it would be amicable. Think that's what's worst of all this.

Gonna be hard enjoying the League Cup footage now with that prick in there.

If we hadn't qualified for the CL I couldn't have begrudged him wanting to leave. But we did...and we won a trophy. Maybe he just realises that the jokers in charge of the club will never build a PL winning team as they can't sign anyone.

Its also the fact that he's going to Liverpool. In my head he'd leave only for Real Madrid or Barcelona. Liverpool aren't good enough for him and I can't understand why he doesn't wait another year, light up the CL and then wait for Real Madrid, Barcelona or PSG.
