Andy Cole was a massive shock but it was totally different. IIRC it came out of the blue (obvs there was no internet) and he didn't do anything wrong personally. It was a painful sale but just for the normal reason that he was many people's favourite player. Not the kind of drawn out betrayal like we've had with Isak.

Cole was very different as he was just  one of several strikers who you could consider to be at the same level in different ways; Ferdinand being one of them. You can't say that at the moment and it's the only reason Isak has gone for such a high fee. He's not an amazing player but there's just not too many other forwards around.

This might have already been mentioned, but I thought it was almost certain that Isak was nursing an injury for the last few months of last season. Reading some if the articles today, not sure that's the case and if so we've taken Liverpool to the cleaners.

Barton still gets a lot of love from our gammon fans for sure. Much like the rest of the country.

Ashley, Bruce, Isak.

I actually despised Pardew when he was here, like really bad. Used to actively want us to lose games which I know is wrong and ridiculous. But, I have warmed the this summer as he seems to have flew the flag a couple of times. He's been demoted from my Mt Rushmore (for now).

4th would probably be Barton or perhaps Michael Owen. Kinnear deserves a shout out too.

Souness and Pardew I hated at the time but but don't think they were the biggest issue for us and mostly respectful to us as is Barton tbf. Those 4 above though took the absolute piss out of us and are absolute cunts of the highest order. I can't pick which one I hate more.

Souness ahead of Bruce and Pardew because he was the manager that knacked the club. Without Souness squandering riches to finish 15th theres no Ashley imo. So and in later years while Souness was swanning around denying any responsibility the other managers were still cleaning up his mess.
