Huge change, here at least he is close buy, has aussie team mates who he already knows a bit, can get used to the weather and may be less of a shock. I think this is a cracking point as well. He's coming from the other side of the world, a bit of familiarity while playing football at 18 will arguably be better than him heading straight off abroad again. Get used to the climate, living away from family, etc.

gbandit
I’m sure this post has been made several times but Central Coast of Oz to Edinburgh is some switch in terms of climate and lifestyle
Guest
He's not following Hearts on Instagram yet but he's just liked a post from Hearts signing some Bournemouth player on loan so must be done.

He played at the Mariners with Kye Rowles (who is also destined for the EPL, just quietly) and is good mates with Cammy Devlin. He'll be happy there, considering he's only 18 and was still living with his mum until last week.
TheBrownBottle
Hate to break everyone’s image of picture postcard Australia, but Kuol didn’t grow up on the Central Coast but in Victoria. The lad will be used to cold, wet winters not much nicer than Edinburgh - trust me

Nah, rearranged after being postponed when the queen died. Had a soft spot for St Mirren for years after a visit in the 80s. I'm really hoping he doesn't play tomorrow night. After that I wish him well of course.

Hearts fan in peace here, depending on the area of the stadium, an adult will pay typically £25-£30. However, we've had our biggest ever season ticket sales this season with a lengthy waiting list, so there aren't many tickets going free for walk up supporters. If you're considering coming up for a game, and home tickets are unavailable, might be worth trying on the away team's site to get an away ticket. If you do make the trip up to Edinburgh, then you'll be welcomed by us Jambos.

There are 3 Aussies internationals already at Hearts, and they all seem like good guys to us. Garang played alongside Kye Rowles at his Aussie team and is friendly with Cammy Devlin, so it will help him settle in to a strange environment. As a Hearts fan, I can't help thinking that one of the factors that brought Garang to us was the fact that he had a group of fellow country men at the club. Not only would that help him settle in, but he will surely have sounded them out about what the club is about, what life is like in Edinburgh etc. I'm hoping we get a very good few months from the guy and he returns to Newcastle as a better player. If he's not quite up to your Premier League / Champions League challenging side, we'll be happy to have him back for another season.
