 The Sels thing PISSES ME OFF. I almost bought gloves and a ticket to Newcastle. Sels made me feel like I had a shot.

Wait until Anderson has had a couple of seasons there, he’s going to turn into prime Kaka

Hes definitely having a freak season I’m not denying that. But I think he’s always been a decent scorer everywhere he’s been bar is.

We had shite delivery, I don't begrudge his time here, couple that with his confidence being in the absolute shitter because he didn't hit the ground running when were in a serious relegation battle.

Eh, it was a serious offer for him. But it’s easy to overlook how big he’s been for them this season, he’s started literally every PL game.

85 million for him was a ridiculous offer. Should have snapped their hands off.

That loss to Brighton keeps looking worse.

That and the loss against West Ham will probably come back to bite us at the end of the season, I fear. Both losses at home as well, which makes it even more galling.

Neither do I. He always put a shift in.

Anderson was stolen from us, he had a place here but the rules forced our hand because the rules are shit.

The West Ham one was inexcusable considering how bad they are and how little we even tried.

Could we feasibly persuade Forest to take all our duds with the promise that they'll become world beaters with them? The track record is there.

Brighton are already PSR teachers pets though, they absolutely do not need to sell, and for me Mitoma on form is their best player.

It’s an insane amount to turn down.

Oh look. Another pointless, unnecessary, glacial intervention from VAR.

I still don't understand why they don't automate the offsides. Should have done it 18 months back.

I may be wrong, but Mitoma struck me of too much of a football nerd to go to Saudi. He'll have lucrative promotion work in Japan and should be loaded already.

Brighton powder puff in defence today. This couldn't be easier for Forest.

If they hadn't already sold loads of players for stupid money in recent years giving them complete freedom in the market going forward then I'd agree it's daft to turn it down. But they have done, and it does nothing for them or the rest of their season selling him now. There comes a point where you have to not just sell.

The player clearly didn't want to go either.

And they still should have.

It’s a huge offer, obviously healthy for PSR. But I think they went with the short term gain option, and could still sell him in the summer for the same or more? Not sure they felt like they needed to snatch at that deal and sell a first team mainstay mid season when they are chasing a European spot.

You also need to consider their current PSR position, did they need to sell? And did he want to go?

Two sides to this coin.

I think this is the crux of it.  Accepting a bid for a player who doesn't want to go makes no sense.  If he was up for the move I reckon they would have accepted it.

Can absolutely see why Eddie wanted Elanga like.

I’m glad he didn’t, especially for the price. IF we even were interested to begin with.

We don’t need or should spunk massive money on players that don’t offer a lot apart from in transitions.  Put Elanga in a team that isn’t massively about transitions mainly and he’s isn’t all that, I’ve seen him play for years.

At Nottingham he’s at the perfect place for him. It doesn’t mean he would be a great signing for us.

If we are to evolve we need different skills than him and Barnes for example. I very much doubt any of the best clubs would even think about signing Elanga. Actually they might, clubs do make odd transfers.
