My impression of him previously wasn't too high but he's taking up good positions and he's faster than I thought. Like his off-the-ball work.

 

 

 

I cut the other way with him. I only really remember him against City (good) and Arsenal (crap) in Europe.
 

Watching him at Arsenal. I’m surprised at how poor he looks technically. Bad touch, not great dribbling with the ball, link up play looks out of place with the players he is playing with. 
 

But at the same time. He is also exactly what they have been crying out for and he will score plenty, I reckon. They have loads of attacking options and strength in depth to keep creating chances for him.

Gyokeres first touch not the best but his workrate is strong. He will score goals in this team for sure.

I suppose we have to hope that the other English teams do reasonably well to ensure that 5th in the EPL gets Champions League again. 

 

Saying that, although we've got a really good first 11, our squad depth isn't close to that of other teams. So it could be a struggle to get 5th. We're already missing 2 key players for a month or so and I don't have much faith in Tripps anymore.
