Indeed. Added benefit of qualifying for the UCL this year is that we get another season now to really try to build up the coefficient which will increase future revenue shares and to a lesser extent the pot allocation. Crucial to consistently qualify for Europe each season now as the higher the coefficient, the more we'll receive from UEFA each season due to their dodgy merit/broadcast payment system. Hence why ours should continue to build now. If your sum is lower than your national average then you get that total instead. Ours is only 8000 but the English average is 22.982, so we get that instead. We'll hopefully surpass that over time with more European games and build our own meaningful coefficient. ToonAbroad Posted Monday at 16:39 Share Posted Monday at 16:39 And on a sidenote, we'll want all English clubs to do well again hopefully next season to ensure the PL once again gets 5 spots as that's done on a seasonal aspect, rather than a 5 year average. Bet it was massive at one point when Shola was banging in hatty’s vs some unpronounceable Greek club.

Which makes you worry about Nottingham Forest (although they should get to the later stages of the Conference League regardless), Crystal Palace, and Spurs. Agreed. It's divided by the total number of clubs playing in Europe that season so hopefully they can contribute! Generally UCL clubs earn more than UEL or UECL clubs so would be more important for the UCL 6 to perform well than Palace or Forest, but it would help! Mazzy Posted Monday at 16:44 Share Posted Monday at 16:44 I mean let's be honest, with SIX teams in the Champions League now, if there isn't one English team in the final that's a huge failure as a nation.

Getting more money based on coefficient really is a disgraceful system, particularly now the coefficient is more or less irrelevant in sporting terms with the new format. NUFCDoog Posted Monday at 16:46 Share Posted Monday at 16:46 Forest might not even qualify, got to play a play off just to get there to the "main competition". Wouldn't be a surprise to see them go out. They'll be nowhere near top 10 next season.

Not massively convenient if you're looking to travel. There is qualifying. The pots that have been posted just include the teams in qualifying with the highest coefficients, so are therefore ‘expected’ to qualify. Celtic have to qualify yet.
