The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

Three season ends under Eddie Howe.

21/22

P10 W6 D0 L4 Pts 18

22/23

P10 W5 D3 L2 Pts 18 Final game was dead rubber draw at Chelsea after sealing CL with nervy draw vs. Leicester

23/24

P10 W6 D2 L2 Pts 20

Massive plaudits to Eddie for working em hard but keeping it going at the business end of the season.

The same again, say 18, would do very nicely and get us to 65 points. I reckon that would be enough.

Our game against Man Utd is the weekend between their quarter final games in Europa League.

Villa the weekend after their 2nd game in CL.

Chelsea the weekend after their semi final in conferance(if they get there).

Arsenal probably will have secured 2nd and lost the chance to the title by the time we play them.

Think our schedule might end up being alot easier than it looks on paper.

Might be asking some as we've not been as solid at home this season, but win five of the six home games and win at Leicester and we're there. For what it's worth I don't think we will win five but I think we'll pick up more than three points in the road.

Forest look good to me and you can never bet against Man City, but Chelsea have a tough run and aren't in form. Villa too are distracted and a bit up and down. It might be sides like Brighton, Bournemouth or Fulham we have to shake off to get fifth.

Would actually be massive if Bournemouth beat Man City in the FA Cup this weekend.

Suddenly you potentially have Forest or Brighton, Villa, Bournemouth, and Fulham all distracted by a trip to Wembley and their biggest chance to win a trophy for at least a generation.

Surely they'll be distracted regardless?

a bit, but psychologically if there is Man City in the quartet you get less excited.

similar to how we were with Liverpool in the final

Villa’s games either side of playing us will be the second leg against PSG and an FA Cup semi final.

Demoralising ET defeat to PSG before a semi against Man City please

Man Utd under Mourinho when they finished 6th, are the only club since Swansea in 2013 to win the League Cup and not qualify for the Champions League through the league in the same season. Even they were in the CL the next season due to winning the Europa League.
