The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

Recommended Posts

I think we are all underestimate these teams. The way I see it is they are more likely to win every game than lose every one. This week literally shows it. There's too many teams willing to just bend over and let others win. Even wolves have managed a good run. We have to aim to win every game. The thinking of 'we can afford to drop points in this game' is what got forest sitting outside the top 5 right now.

Who wouldn’t ?

Everton mate of mine is up for that. For the whole bank holiday weekend in fact. Think I’d be off the High Level after the match if that transpires and we fuck it up.

Brighton away is the one I'm most nervous about. I think we will hopefully have too much for Ipswich. Also believe we'll turn up for the Chelsea game fingers crossed  I think we lose away to arsenal and beat Everton final day. So I think we have to get maximum points away to Brighton.

Everyone else's fixtures look far kinder than ours.

Nah, Chelsea and Villa have tougher fixtures.

Would people take going into the last game vs Everton needing a win to guarantee CL?

Absolutely. I firmly believe their season ends the week before with the last game at Goodison. Playing Southampton, so will invariably win, big party, everyone patting each other on the back etc etc.

Then can’t really be arsed with having to rock up to a raucous SJP a week later.

Hope he enjoys the game as much as your Leicester mates…

Personally think our schedule isnt bad at all.

Ipswich (H)

One of the easiest you can get.

Brighton (A)

In very poor form and doesnt have Pedro for this game.

Chelsea (H)

Not looking great and are playing the semi final in the conferance league semi-final 3 days before our game. 8pm Thursday and 12pm Sunday. Thats not a lot of rest, we just saw how that worked out for us.

Arsenal (A)

We do seem to have their number and they will maybe have secured the 2nd place and have their head focused on the CL final. But hopefully we dont need anything here.

Everton (H)

Tarkowski out injured. Should be able to get a win here if needed. Last game of the season and the fans will be pushing the players on.

I know we’ve had a chastening weekend but other clubs will drop points. I can’t see any of our rivals posting a 100% record. We’ve just got to win our home games and try and get something from Brighton.

And or do Arsenal again!

None of us are on the team as far as I know.

Also, ignoring the fact some of them play each other, there is no chance they all win their remaining games.

Everyone handled this thread so well in 2022/23. Should be a pleasure cruise.

and when we beat Brighton at home, how sweet did that feel? Just needed a draw v Leicester and this place was over the moon. Football is canny man. This is what it’s all about.

Not really seeing what others are with regards to Brighton away. Bogey team? Maybe. But a sleepy 2pm game at theirs with them on the beach and pretty mediocre? Would be disappointed to not win that personally.

Before feeling utterly stupid about our absurd overconfidence as Maddison shaped to shoot at the Leazes end.

Didn't hit me until a couple days after. I was fuming we didn't beat them to finish 3rd.

I'm disappointed any time we don't beat them, which is usually every game.
