Yeah, we would need to lose by 4 in order for Chelsea to pass us, but you initially said 'plus we'd need to lose by 4 more than Chelsea', i.e. if Chelsea lost 0-1, we'd have to lose 0-5 (and that bit extra buffer), which isn't the case. If Chelsea lost 0-1 then we'd have to lose 0-4, so just 3 more than them.

Last August winning the League Cup and Europa league would have been deemed as a successful season by most. Perhaps it should still be, but with a home win against Everton between us and an even more successful season yes it's the worst thing that can happen to us, as things stand today.

Personally I just don't want the Thursday/Sunday gig next season, but more importantly the club needs CL qualification to move to the next level and cement our place at the top of English football.

But agree with the general view that scenario happening is unlikely

I believe we will get the job done and win on Sunday. I back the lads on the pitch to get it done at home against a side we are better than in a pressure situation. Atmosphere will be rocking. Can’t wait. 
 

I also will say right now, whatever happens Sunday, hopefully all will still feel this is the best season we’ve had in ages. We’ve lifted a trophy and beat some difficult opposition to get that.

What I find absolutely appalling is that if we don't qualify for the CL, Spurs could end up winning a more important trophy and getting into the best Euro competition after having stunk out the Premier league all season. Obviously we've had a better season, but you could argue they ended up the bigger winners.

I couldn't give less of a shit haha, just focused on what we are doing and where we are headed. We have all the foundations in place for kicking on now and having continued success. I think only three clubs are better placed than us right now in Arsenal, City and Liverpool, given where we were not long ago that's amazing.

Nothing to play for lol. Haven't you heard of spite, hatred and fucking other people over to spoil their day?

 

They'll be up for it, make no mistake. 

 

However, we are the better team so if we work hard and play our best then we've nothing to worry about. A couple of early goals would be a beautiful thing, but I can see a scrappy and nervy 90 minutes ahead.

It's not a criticism of us, we've had an amazing season. I would much rather have our season than the one Spurs have had. But it just feels wrong that they could end up in the CL despite being more in danger of relegation than qualifying through performance.
