Got carried away with our run of wins. On reflection we only look good when we are playing at 100% and other teams can't match our output. When they can then the technique of a few starts getting found out.

If the winners of the above qualify via the league it then drops down

I dont think it does, with our squad winning the league cup is most likely our best chance to the Europe i think. And the chances of that happening is alot bigger if we meet Spurs in the final.

 

If we somehow manage to throw away our lead against Arsenal then sure..

That's a lovely Villa result like. As negative as I feel, lots of our rivals are also inconsistent. Losing hope of catching Forest but 5th, and especially 6th v much on.

Fuck PSR and sign some first teamers before deadline day. Forest took a four point hit, Everton 6 points, they couldn’t give us worse when others have had these punishments.
 

Even with the deduction with good signings it should net out.

I agree tbh ,its a joke the fee villa got as an recent example and i like the approach we've took  since the takeover but its now taking the piss

I'm gutted about us today but we'd be silly to give up on our chance at this stage. No point focusing on our own failings while neglecting those of our competitors.

I get why there’s negativity because today was poor but everyone else around us are also very inconsistent and will drop stupid points along the way. Top 5 is still on and with potentially 8th being Europe, I’m sure we will get there.

Villa can't string a run of results together and just lost to the 17th placed team in the league. 

 

Bournemouth have had a good spell but will revert to 8th/9th, their squad is way too thin to maintain it. 

 

Chelsea are just as, if not more, inconsistent than us. 

 

Not saying none of these three will finish above us, but I'll be surprised if all three do, and I definitely don't think Wilson will be the deciding factor.

Time will tell but even if villa lost today a game i thought they would they manage to get points from or a decent performance .Chelsea have a better squad (Cheating)

Forest and Bournemouth have been pretty consistent tbf. Think losing to Liverpool is not really a black mark against any team.

Over the entire season though? 
 

Granted Forest have been fantastic, but a lot of the other teams have been streaky, including ourselves.

The fact Bournemouth are below us in the league suggests that if we've been inconsistent, they've been more inconsistent
