Without checking are Everton fans up in arms?

They’re scouse and therefore the victims of a conspiracy.  Their club shouldn’t have been held to account for obviously breaching rules that Leeds, Leicester and Southampton didn’t

Yeah, they're not best pleased.

I understand to be fair, you might say the time has come for Masters to resign.

I understand to be fair, you might say the time has come for Masters to resign.

During his tenure Masters has overseen two new domestic TV deals, one which was sold for the same value as the existing deal without going to tender, the only deal at the time to not increase in value. The second deal has been sold at below the same year to year value (increasing the number of years in the process). A deal which many clubs are unhappy with and are complaining that the Premier League was not receptive of streaming providers.

Not to mention that during the pandemic he tried to introduce PPV for games when people had nothing to do or watch, as well as not being able to attend games. A decision he had to go back on only weeks later.

1 club has been docked 10 points for failing to comply with FFP, even though the Premier League themselves had their own accountant sat in the room with the clubs accountants.

He brought in Hoffman to prevent the takeover of Newcastle on behalf of 5 of the top 6 clubs. Hoffman was effectively sacked when it failed.

He has seen the top 6 attempt to steal control of football in England, of which he was included in discussions of.

Just months later the same top 6 also attempted a breakaway for the ESL, of which he did fuck all to try and prevent, even giving them the opportunity to determine their own punishment.

He has lost a long standing symbolic sponsorship deal with Nike as the ball supplier to the Premier League.

He has seen the Premier League subjected to legal challenges by Ashley, and at the time our prospective owners. He is now on the verge of taking the Premier League to court against the likes of Everton, and Man City respectively.

He has allowed Burnley be bought with their own money, only to ban such deals a few months later.

He has failed to come to a deal with the EFL over future payment structures, an issue that has been ongoing for years now.

He has went into parliament and called certain clubs small clubs.

He had failed to implement the automatic offside that the Champions League has, as well as the World Cup, this lead to some disastrous decision, such as the Liverpool no goal.

He’s been an absolute fucking disaster and doesn’t have a fucking clue about what he is doing. How the fuck he got the job in the first place is beyond anyone, especially when his record wasn’t said to be clean with the ECB. How he is still in the position is even more baffling.

But apart from that, he's actually done ok.

Even if I took away how I saw through him during our takeover saga, you can’t look at what he’s done objectively and say that he’s done a good job.

The Premier League has always been a little bit of a pantomime, but now he’s turned it into a weekly one.

No, because abstentions don’t equal no votes.  14 votes gives the two-thirds majority of clubs - two clubs not voting doesn’t mean that those two clubs don’t exist

Another PL rule that should be reformed :)

Mate, say no all you want, but it literally says each club has a right to vote and it requires a two third majority of the vote:

”Each Member Club is entitled to one vote and all rule changes and major commercial contracts require the support of at least a two-thirds vote, or 14 clubs, to be agreed.”

I know the rule says no, I’m saying it’s another rule which needs reformed

Sounds like a shoe-in to replace Ceferin at UEFA then

Will never forgot how he acted during our takeover. Was a proper little puppet for the big 6 and dragging things out for as long as possible so he could keep his best pals Levy and co satisfied..

The one good thing Ashley done was throw the legal book at masters and the PL and they couldn't handle it. Man City will have a field day.

I can definitely understand the anger towards him about the new deal ignoring streamers.

Peacock paid $110m to get one NFL playoff game this season. It was just announced Amazon is paying more than that to get one next year.

Apple and Amazon would have been ready to spend big.

Other than that, almost everything else he’s done (or not done) feels like it can be explained by the fact he’s just a puppet for the whims of three or four clubs.

Two clubs that supposedly abstained were Aston Villa and Crystal Palace

Steve Parish fucking hates us and loves FFP as it means he can keep all that pension money that the fans gave him so that he could save invest in Palace without much threat.

The only reason they would have abstained is because a couple of weeks ago they came to an agreement with Sainsbury’s which allows them to build their new stand. They are obviously worried that they now can’t.
