Looks like it's deadline day for PSR accounts today, I wonder if any club is in breach ?

Usual media bullshit disclaimers apply...Daily Mirror reckons Forest, Everton, Leicester, Chelsea (lol) are closest to the line

Forest have played their cheat code…

It's not a cheat code whatsoever. It's the logical thing to do and I'm sure they won't be the only ones.

You are right. Phrased it wrong. Was highlighting that there is a workaround for the clubs that the new rules should punish already… meanwhile we seem stuck somewhat.

The Premier League changed their stance on applying ownership loans retrospectively to get Chelsea, and Everton amongst others to vote for the new rules when it appeared that they were going to veto them.

PL will be desperate to do Leicester after they embarrassed them in the summer

Genuinely missed the Leicester super story - how did they embarrass them? I’m genuinely asking

And Forest, for having the audacity to be as high up as they are.

I said this to a forest season ticket holder friend of mine - “you just know at some point they’ll deduct points from you”

They avoided EPL punishment as they dropped to the EFL and then avoided EFL punishment as they were promoted to the EPL  with help from Nick DeMarco is the short story.

They should have been deducted points under PSR rules, but because the Premier League sign off the transfer of clubs a few days before the PSR deadline, they were able to walk free of it.

Some think they could have been deducted up to 10 points, and considering Man Utd are only 7 points away from safety, they will be foaming at that as well.

Then I reckon Leicester probably will get deducted, have to save Man Utd don’t they. Since we’ve beaten them all I’ve read or heard is how embarrassed Man U should be, very little credit to us other then sky saying repeatedly Isak should leave.

I think the PL and even the cartel 6 like a Newcastle / Villa / Forest / Leicester occasionally being in the top 4. It allows the cartel to point at that team and say "look, the rules are working" and "anyone can succeed!" - which they can get lucky as a one-off but can't long-term because those very rules are designed to pull them back in again and give the 6 their massive advantage.

Problem is that if Forest finish in the top 4, that'll be the 3rd year in a row that another one of the cartel has to miss out. We're also in with a shout which would make it even worse.

West Ham sold the £69 million they are due off Arsenal for £64 million to get some quick cash

Sorry what, sold it to who?

If it's to a third party, that absolutely stinks. Because if Arsenal can't / won't pay it and West Ham need it, someone's dodging a punishment here. That should be illegal, if that's what's happened.

Doesn't have to be anything dodgy about it at all. Most transfers are done in installments, but West Ham might feel like 64m today is better than 69 in a few years time, so might have sold their 69m to another creditor. Happens all the time with loans.

Essentially factoring for football clubs. Totally legal but stupid unless unavoidable as you’re robbing yourself.

It's what a lot of clubs including us did with TV money back in the day. Only difference is time as the TV money was within a year then fee instalments will be over a few years

Om guessing they have some hefty fee instalments to make over the next few months themselves rather than looking at finding new signings
