I can't see us selling Miley or loaning him out - we've already Europe next season so he'll be needed.  Longstaff looks likely to go so we'll not sell two CMs.

Based on what Howe said a couple of weeks ago.

Aye. For those who missed it, I think he said something like Sean’s future at the club being uncertain beyond the summer or words to that effect.

And with how vague Howe usually is that's practically stating he's gone.

i have this likely very stupid but romantic notion that he's going to be here for the next 15 years as our michael ballack. need to cycle him on creatine and bulk up some in the offseason.

Selling him for 30million would suggest Miley is/will be a purple.

We have to keep SOME of our youth, otherwise we're Chelsea. Once Burn, Longstaff and at a push Murphy retire/leave - there goes our geordie spine that I think we all agree was pivotal in our recent success/good vibes.

I would absolutely hate to sell him, especially after losing Anderson. Looks like the real deal imo and only 18 years old and. He'll have plenty of opportunities to play next season

If we have to sell him to retain a purple, I’d rather sell Bruno over Miley tbh. I love Bruno to bits, but he has no unfinished business here anymore as far as I’m concerned.

We have to look to the future, and Miley’s ceiling could be anything. In fact I’d sell anyone bar Isak, Tonali, and Hall over Miley.

I know, which is why we need 5 in order to let Longstaff go without leaving a space.

Miley doesn’t count towards that due to his age. He goes on List B (the junior list), not List A.

Not going anywhere. He’ll play loads next season.

He won’t

Hes half decent , but lacks the X factor

I would sell for anything over £25m

I would love him to prove me wrong but I just don’t see him being top level to hold a place in the first team

youngsters better

Bergval - Better

carlos baleba - better

Jack hinchelwood - better

Alex Scott - better

Adam Wharton - better

others I would take / better

Mikkel Damsgaard

lewis cook

got bored after 5 mins -

Just not sold on Miley

:burn2: he did hold a place in the 1st team - granted he's not played much this season but he was injured for the start of it. The lad is only 18 we have yet to see the best of him.

Let’s see who is proved right (long term)

Bookmarked for when he plays 200 games for Watford

Hope he proves me wrong as he has a great attitude and can strike a lovely ball.

I just don’t think he has (IT) , the x Factor , that change of pace , the bite , that killer instinct

All about opinions.

Hes light years away from Tonali and Bruno (I know there is a huge difference in age)

However I think in the long run , he won’t reach the heights at Newcastle

If he does - ‘Great’ as I love Newcastle United Football Club and that means the team/club will benefit.

What turn of pace does Bruno have?

As for bite/killer instinct, he's still a kid

I didn’t say anything about not giving him a chance

Give him as many chances as possible , keep him and see what happens.

I just don’t think he will be a regular.

As for people comparing him with Bruno (eg pace)

Bruno is streets ahead of Miley (in the head) at the moment , works harder off the ball , contributes way more , in fact is laughable comparing the two.

Yes he is 18 but I can’t see that spark that you need to be a top top player.

He will be a good player (but maybe not at Nufc)

Championship - or lower premier league.

Anderson was better and I wasn’t his biggest fan either , but he’s doing great at Forest (and I am happy for him)

I will be just as happy to be proved wrong on Miley as mentioned previously.

Not even a comparison.

So your point about needing x factor (pace) is redundant since Bruno is very slow
