It’s simply not the aim for me. I’m thinking about top 2. If we don’t get it I’ll be disappointed. 3rd is cool if we get it but I don’t care much if we don’t. 
 

there’s advantages to finishing 4th. If we have a mostly fit squad and no European football from Jan - May we have a fantastic chance of getting back into the top 4-5 this season.

Would be advantageous to us on both accounts for FFP, continue in Europa effort and positionally wise in the league.

Hypothetical scenario - if we are winning our last game in the groups which means we would secure a play-off spot in the Champions League by 1 point. Would you rather that we gave the lead up so we could end 3rd and compete in the Europa League?

Exiting the cl in the early stages isn't gonna harm us at all at signing new players,We have been in every single game we have played it might even be a blessing with all the injuries giving us greater chance to get back in it fit and stronger next season

As I've said I get your point of view. But ,for me, winning something would be incredible. Obviously I'd much rather that be the CL but being realistic we'd have a better chance in this years EL. 

I think my mentality has changed as I get older. Last year's cup final hit me more than most so another go at that (League Cup) or the EL this season which resulted in us actually winning something is more important for me.

Absolutely insane to me that anyone would give up on the opportunity to compete in the CL for anything. It's literally the #1 club competition in the world, we haven't been in it for 20 years, and we have no idea when we'll be in it again. Competing in a lesser tournament, that we'll likely be in many times in the next X years, would not be nearly as enjoyable.

Man City, Liverpool and Villa alone should get us close to being one of the top 2 co-efficients. Pad that with the odd last 8-16 from the rest and we'll get one you'd think?

It does kind of feel like the tournament has passed us by a bit. Obviously a magnificent win over PSG, which will be remembered for years (depending on how we get on in the coming seasons, as hopefully there will be similar nights), but drew blanks in the other 3, back to back losses against arguably the weakest of the 3 opponents, the toughest match of the 6 still to come, and, probably more likely than not, be out of Europe altogether before GW6.

 

Obviously a mix of a tough group and possibly more so a lack of players and squad depth, but it does feel that we haven't quite given as good an account of ourselves as we could have.

 

Much more favourable group, clearly, but it is a bit frustrating seeing fellow 4th seed Sociedad do so well in, like us, a rare CL campaign for them.

Couldnt believe my eyes when I saw posts hoping PSG would beat Milan.

I think England will be fine anyway but finishing ahead of Milan would definitely be beneficial.

It doesn't rank by head to head as the tiebreaker does, but a chance to play with the remaining fixtures and calculate tables here. Only two rounds to go, but many outcomes are still possible.

Actually, this is really helpful. 

 

I think (and correct me if I'm wrong), it shows that if we draw with psg and beat AC then we are through regardless of the ways the other results go. Based on head to heads I can't see a scenario where that doesn't happen.

I was wrong. If Dortmund beat AC away and PSG beat Dortmund away then we're in the uefa with 8 points. But this feels unlikely.

There is 24 pubs in the area

IMPORTANT SO PLEASE READ

There will be NO. police escort and we have been advised to use the metro / subway line 9

This is 3/4 stops away from the ground

Please do not wander about on your own there advice is we stick together in groups there will be a police presence in. Boulogne-Billancourt and there will be a police presence on metros

We've been told not to wander around the ground and avoid the opposite end of the ground to which we are housed

This is not like going to Norwich or Bournemouth

Safety in numbers is a must

Thanks to the French police and the authorities for all the help

Move together like we did in Milan and I'm sure we can stay safe
