And France score. They’ve looked good, well worth the lead. With all the injuries and big teams in mediocre form they’ve got a chance.

They are my dark horse, although Germany will take some beating!

Colombia as cynical as fuck though. That little run of deliberate fouls there

It’s been like watching Newcastle when we’re ahead tbh

I guess we have zero chance of hosting the men’s World Cup then.

I keep telling y'all to get out of Australia and push it closer.

Japan game is bonkers. They sit back in a deep 5-4-1 for 10-15 mins, then get the ball, go upfield, have a shot and score. Just the perfect hit-them-on-the-break game.

They’re 3-0 up with 23% possession and three shots. Third goal was absolutely fantastic.

Can't decide if Japan are going to be a real threat, or if they've just hit lucky against a Spain team who have so many issues behind the scenes!

Feels like no one other than Japan is really excelling at the moment!

Although Australia will have the wind in their sales now, and still with Kerr to come back!!

Yeah it’s hard to judge Japan. I mean, this is their style, and it’s extremely effective. Just…everything absolutely went their way in the first half. That won’t happen every time.

Yea totally, you can't maintain that level of accuracy!!

We've played Japan a few times in recent years and just brushed them aside, but they've been in a 'transitional' period for years now! Maybe this is them finally transitioned!!

USA started really well, very fast paced, but then as in the other games they just didn't look great after that!

Portugal got amongst them and the longer it went on the more nervous they looked. Just didn't look like scoring, and Portugal should have won it at the end!

They've got a canny easy run through the knockouts despite coming 2nd in the group, which is annoying
