He may, but if it's to Real Madrid or back to Milan we'll thank him for his excellent service. Bruno will probably end his career here or move back to Brazil when he's about 35 Tonali I can see moving earlier. Maybe 28-30 for a new challenge but still in his prime.

Bit of a contradiction there. If we have to get used to selling our best players in their prime, it won’t always be on our terms.  That’s been proven.  If he’s not signed a new contract by next summer, he’s probably off imo.

And the worry over new contracts is release clauses quite possibly way under market value.

For Tonali the bigger issue is what happens if he wants to go back to Italy. 
 

Juve aside Serie A sides don’t pay €80m for CMs.

We are too early in our development to match cartel wages unfortunately. Unless we can unlock some new form of sponsorship, it might take another cycle of players or even two cycles before we are able to offer the sort of salaries the established superclubs are giving out. 

 

Not great to think about, but more noise needs to be made about PSR crippling ambitious clubs for the benefit of those already at the top.

I think hes over any homesickness (if the rumours about his Mrs are true as well..... she loves it here) but I could see Madrid then rounding off back in Italy when hes about 30.

Ok.  Enjoy Sandro while he’s here then. Expecting him gone in 10-22 months.

If we can go to 200k/week for any player it should be him. But even then you have to hope a Madrid or Man City don't come in with a 50% pay bump offer which we can't touch.

I agree on most of that stuff, but I feel like we can be proactive and calm about the way we deal with departures. The Isak thing was a saga wrapped in a cluster fuck and thats what we need to avoid.

 

There are only a couple of clubs in the world who are big enough to avoid the sharks and you are right when you say if we do it too often we will suffer but at the moment its one player in 4 years and theres some great signs that we got a good fee and a good replacement, so it doesn't have to be doom and gloom.

 

Hopefully in the next 4 years our revenue will be significantly bigger and hopefully there are changes to PSR afoot.

I hope the way the fans supported him during his gambling ban would make him more inclined to sign a contract extension. 

 

After the Isak saga however, I wouldn't be surprised if he engineered a move to Man City this summer. 

 

I think he'd ideally want to return to Italy, but I think financially even we can offer a lot more in wages than Milan can these days.
