Gallowgate Toon
Plugged gaps and used his speed very well in a tough situation for a sub. Personally, I think he's going to generally show most of his real qualities from RCM over a sustained period but it was the right time today to get him in centrally. Newcastle Fan
Midfield looked so much better without him and he looked so much better coming from the bench, guess this is what's best right now.
Elliottman
Squad depth, he’ll start games , he’ll be on the bench for games. Same with Barnes. Having those two come on for us was absolutely lush.
Shak
Think we'll see him in for Longstaff next game. Longstaff was good today but Tonali was quality against Chelsea by all accounts (I missed the game) so feels like he should keep his place. Was very telling that when he came on today he went to the centre of the midfield trio, think that's the plan going forward and I can't wait to see it. Expand Tonali was great midweek, and he was excellent when he came on today as well. Not sure he'll start against Forest, but at least the midfield is starting to look less fragile. Kid Icarus
Don't think there's any need for a set in stone midfield. Different players will bring different qualities and it just depends who we're playing and how we want to play.

AyeDubbleYoo
There would be something wrong if we couldn’t fit Tonali into our team. Nine
There’s definitely scenarios where he can play that #6 role, either coming on at 60 mins or against certain opponents.
