Slim
From what I have been reading he's not even worth 15mil based on last year. Year before he was amazing and carried them. Not sure if he has been found out or what. Consensus is he ready made for the prem and maybe the Italian league is more tactical.

Same with Gordon and Isak.

Kanj
Thiaw and Nico G. I’d take that.

Surely that's bullshit given that they rejected bigger offers from Brentford last summer and he has since signed a new contract.

Last news I could find on it was from Romano saying that they rejected Brentford's 40m+ bid as it was too low and too late in the window.
Skeletor
Thiaw and Nico Gonzales and the window has done a 180 instantly.

Also, circumstances change year on year. They may well need the money to rebuild and are now ready to let him go, as they may have no other assets, and maybe not as many clubs are interested as last time. All sorts could come into play. The Prophet
I have reservations about Gonzales. I'm not sure he's the answer long term, but he'd be an improvement on Miggy.

Ronson333
Nico Gonzalez is class. Saw Fiorentina play a few times last season and he stood out, would be a good addition for us.

Circumstances can change, but he has signed a new contract this year and Fiorentina have absolutely no reason to do us a favour. I'm sure we can get him if we want, but I'd be very surprised if it was that cheap.

Ultimately if they need to raise funds though, and the offers coming through are lower than their perceived value, then ultimately, something usually has to give. Guess we'll find out soon enough. That's if we are even in for him. Edited July 29, 2024 by KaKa

But a little underwhelmed. Been spoilt recently. They don’t seem as upsidey as Isak or Tonali. But it would suggest we are preparing properly for FFP this summer unlike the last. Which is a must and a good decision. Looking at the commercial team to unlock the £150m+ net spend in future windows again. Vaj
Just seen that Keith Downie replied to someone on twitter stating that "The constant message is there isn't a huge amount of money to spend" and that he thinks we will sign two players (RW & CB). The College Dropout
Rumours that our budget is small seem more and more believable as I have been suggesting. I think part of the hold up is that sales would have us looking higher up our list.
r0cafella
We will spend between 80-100 net this season. Is that small?
andycap
If we are cash strapped I'd think two signings will be it. Maybes a loan deal to add some numbers up top.
