“Newcastle have plans for Santiago Hezze and could make an offer to Olympiakos in this transfer market.
He went to the Olympic Games and is in the orbit of the National Team.”

No one reports like Gaston,

Knows their sports like Gaston,

No one shares their thoughts as incredibly well as Gaston.

Eddie could definitely get Sterling back to the player he was a couple of years ago, the fact he is so miffed off at being dropped at Chelsea and wanting to leave to play regular football shows he still has the desire. It would have been easy for him to just sit on his 300k a week contract at Chelsea and not play if he had no desire to continue playing football.

Eddie is class. I love Eddie Howe but does amuse me how that blanket statement gets used for every out of form or poorer player. I won’t work every time. ASM for example. Could argue he got poorer under Howe towards the end. Ryan Fraser too

ASM never really got worse under Howe , he just wasn't good enough to be a regular in a team that finished 4th playing with the intensity and pressing that we did that season.

TalkSPORT saying Sterling has been offered to us and Villa.

Hard no. He's essentially finished at this stage. He's had a pretty fantastic career but it's just about over now imo

Id take him all day on loan if Chelsea took the majority of his wages. Crazy to turn him down while we are looking at the likes of Almiron starting out wide again this season. He can play across the whole front 3.

Same here but I don't think Chelsea would loan him to a direct rival.

Might not have a choice at this rate. They're drowning in players they can't get rid of that will become both a morale and PSR headache.

There is that, but I think if they are prepared to subsidise his wages, there'll be a few takers.

ASM didn't get worse due to Howe, but his injuries caught up with him.

He looked like he lost that explosive speed that he had during the Bruce era, due to the constant hamstring strains etc. Rarely did he seem physically at his best under Howe.

But on the rare occasions that he did he was still one of our best players. That Man City 3:3 home game comes to mind. Best side in the league just couldn't handle him. Injuries just took away his explosiveness. Without it he was just abit frustrating and was right to move him on in the end.

What’s good about that is there’s only one you’d want starting a game for us.

We're never signing a good backup goalkeeper when we're signing a central defender for an insane fee and have zero purples at RW.

Nah of course, assumption would be that Dubs and one other would have to go out.

I reckon we're stuck with Dubs (originally wanted Trafford to replace but couldn't shift him) and never wanted Vlachodimos. Ruddy was brought in as a slightly better Gillespie, but ultimately another version of him (someone who's going to train but never play)

Yeah I agree, always thought it was unlikely we would upgrade on Dub. Even though I want him gone.
