Dr.Spaceman
As if PIF who have hired the likes of Eddie Howe, Ashworth, Silverstone, Eales and some top lawyer types would give Shola Ameobi a proper job with consequences. SUPERTOON
Does this help at all with FFP?
gbandit
I didn’t think so, I thought you had to take the full fee on immediately for PSR/FFP purposes even if you can split the payments but I may be wrong

So say he signed for £50m and signed a 5 year contract, then you would amortise £10m a year (ie the PSR ‘hit’). If we paid the cash in instalments of £16.67m a year for 3 years, the PSR hit is still £10m per year for 5 years.

Even if you sign to an 8 year deal? They closed that loophole right?

gbandit
He’s a better keeper than Onana and Bayindir. Not sure why they’re targeting him as a no.
JT24
With all his loans away from the club, would he still count as a club homegrown player for us in UEFA’s eyes?

mighty__mag
Delap, Huijsen, Mbuemo would be a decent summer spend. Yes we'll have them all please.
r0cafella
I think the only way delap comes here is if we sell Isak. Which even if we were to do that, he'd have gone elsewhere already. Huijsen won't be joining us either.

I believe so, according to Football Manager anyway. We need a certain number of players trained at our club before they turned 21 (or something). Mbeumbo would be one if want to make a statement. I don't think he's actually in that high of demand. The clauses for Huijsen and Delap rule us out imo. Goes to show how expensive building a team really costs There's not a great deal wrong with the starting XI (I'd say Trafford and Huijsen would walk into the team, though). All four greatly strengthen the first 20 which has been our issue. People were saying the same about our window 2 summers ago and it's turned out perfectly. This seems a similar one.
