You’re getting 2 for 1 positions. He’s premier league proven and Eddie can and has improved players. If there’s anymore in him, Eddie will get it out of him. (Good injury record too).

He's 5"6. I wouldn't expect miracles from him if tasking playing alone up front.

Also he's not 2 in 1, in terms of we need a starting right winger and a rotation option for Isak. He can only play one position at a time.

He’d be an option is my point as they’d still bring in a back up striker. Bowen isn’t exactly massive and he fills well up front when needed. It’s all about versatility and also during matches too.

Here's a question for everyone. Who would they people take the following window.

In.

Delap

Mbuemo

Guehi

Walker peters

Out

Longstaff

Wilson

Tripz

Probs just need the keeper position looked at too though but that’s a great list.

I’d take Delap and Walker Peters. Guehi is a 50-50 in my head and so’s Mbeumo

Leaves us light in midfield and I want a keeper.

Seeing this name a lot. Does it get mentioned cos he's on a free or is he actually a good fit for us? Genuine q.

Based on what Howe is saying it doesn't sound like we need to go to the bargain bin this summer.

Yeah I’d take that. I think we’d be barmy not to stick a contract under Jonathan David’s nose as well. I know there’ll be a lot of competition but we’d surely make a compelling pitch to him. Be a perfect PSR move too.

He’s versatile and can cover 2 positions [emoji38] I’m all for anyone the cloob bring in, but I think he would be a great signing. We’ll not have long to wait hopefully before things start moving. I’d love Mbeumo AND Delap!

Akliouche or Mbeumo for the marquee rw signing.

A quality right sided defender for 40 odd million. (Guehi, ideally)

A good young goalkeeper. (Trafford, Garcia)

Combative midfielder. (Dunno)

Reliable/ young backup striker. (Delap if we have the budget)

Obviously we won’t get all of those but that’s what we need for a title push.

Lad next to me at the game was saying yesterday that Guehi is going to stay at Palace for one more season and run his contract down. That been reported conclusively anywhere?

I haven't seen this anywhere. Wouldn't surprise me though makes the most sense for him.

If Delap doesn't come I'd still settle for Calvert-Lewin as a backup

Something like:

Trafford

Mbuemo

Guehi

Walker-Peters

Calvert-Lewin

And a central-midfielder (no names stand out but I'd trust the recruitment)

I’ll be surprised if we get even one or two off that list.

Not quite enough movement to support a squad fighting on four fronts.

I’d add Willock and Targett to the “outs” and get at least another CM in there to help Bruno, Joe and Sandro. Ederson would be immense.

Ederson my No1 CM choice.
