The "big 6" help each other loads, we should be looking to do the same with the other teams that want to break in like us. If it helps us all negate PSR and helps us all sign players like they can, it makes sense. Otherwise they'll just pull further away.

Gotta admit I thought Ramsey was younger - he's done ok at Villa but he's not pulling up any trees.  So on reflection it's a no from me - £29 mil would be better spent elsewhere.

Make them sign Longstaff for £18m or something in return. Can be our Anderson/Vlach moment.

Be happy with Ramsay for the price. The whole helping out Aston Villa thing is irrelevant, if not us, someone else will bite. They’re not going to be docked points.

Well.....they will if they breach.  Only Man U, Chelsea, City, Liverpool and Spurs are allowed to.  Them the rules.

They have a huge amount of saleable assets. It’s a pain for them, but they’ll easily make up the money.

It’s not like. He’s generally poor in possession - bad passes under no pressure. Worse passes under pressure.  Just lacks basic footballing ability. It’s not really a debate - you can see it. 
 

Cant criticise his G/A and I would only hope to replicate that with his replacement.  
 

We’ll never be a Pep type team.  But you can see our level of play would go up a level with better ball playing GK, LCB, CM, RW. I don’t think it’s a particular strength of Livramento or Gordon but it’s a lot better than Burn and Murphy.  Just that bit more comfortable on the ball.

Surely not. We havent invested in 3 transfer windows and next season we are getting rid of the 22/23 season when we had a deficit of £70m.

True, but we're still paying the wages and amortisation of pretty much every player we've signed since the takeover so that £70m deficit dropping off is only part of the story

Yes but our commercial revenue has also increased to counter that.

In 23/24 the deficit got reduced to £11m and this season cant be that bad either since we got pure profit from a couple of sales. 

With extra money from CL next season its hard to understand why we wouldn't be in a good position in regards to PSR.

Of all players to take from Villa, I’d have Konsa. Locks down CB for a while, and equally competent at RB which is helpful.

Villa have plenty of sellable assets. We aren’t signing any of their top players.
