Net Spend: 150 mill.

Probably impossible to do.

Saudis need to step up and triple those "out" prices

Conveniently under valued most of the players we'll sign, and over valued the players we'll sell [emoji38]

That’s incorrect, if we sold him now for £10m we would show a £6m loss due to amortisation

Assuming the £20m was correct and any deal happens after 1st July then you can also take into account the amortisation for 25/26 as it's a hit if he stays or goes and you've got a years wages saved from the p&l.

So overall the loss in 25/26 is of a base cost of around £10m

None of this applies before the end of June!

Wouldn’t it be £12m base cost from July onwards

More likely the "asset" depreciates over the entire FY therefore, his value is down to £16m at the end of this month, 2024/5 FY - His value will be near £12m at the end of the next FY (25/6) as I understand it

That wasn’t the fee we signed him for though - look at the records

we signed him for £20m on a five year deal. After one year his book value is now down to £16m. So a sale for £10m now would represent a £6m loss for PSR purposes.

What part of that do you think is incorrect?

Never heard of Andrew Musgrove before, but going off that tweet, I assume he's a grifting bullshit merchant?

On a scale of reliability from Burnsie to Ornstein, where does this guy sit?

He’s part of the chronicle so pinch of salt

I'm very confident that he's just made that up. Never given any indication that he has any sources whatsoever.

Musgrove is absolutely sound man.

I have no idea on the validity of him claim mind.

Also Palace wanting Targett as part of a Guehi deal, what's next, they will only sell us Guehi if we allow Isaac Hayden to join them too?

Bit of PSR swapsie?

10m for Targett = 55m for Guehi

We won't get Guehi for 45m, not even in last year of his contract.

However, any such PSR typed shenanigans could very well see us be prepared to over-pay, in order to shift a player like Targett, whereby we get the PSR benefit from the sale.

So I'm agreeing with you but not with them figures.

Maybe 50m one way and 8m the other. Which from a PSR point of view would still be excellent business.

Not to start this off after last summer... but Chiesa may be up for sale by Liverpool. He never played there. I'd definitely take him as decent backup across the front line. If we have new RW, Chiesa, Murphy, Gordon and Barnes - that's an excellent set of wingers with a bit of everything.

They not at risk of losing Mitchell this window? Target's on a similar level (when fit)
