I was watching the u19’s England game earlier and Kiano Dyer massively stood out to me. Looked him up and he’s also at Chelsea.

This will be so annoying if he goes elsewhere in the Prem and does well. He's a talented player and is still so young.

 

We were supposedly keen for a while but got put off by this past season.

 

But I think it was a bit of a weird one because I don't think PSV were happy with him not signing a new contract, and so messed him about a bit.

 

This fee is crazy low, and if we saw something in him previously, surely we ought to have another look?!

IMO, with the CL qualification we need to pull away from teams now and if we have money we should get the best rw that will agree to join us (and can afford).

Seems a low fee on the face of it but if Eddie/Nickson etc haven't earmarked him as top priority, happy for us to pass on the deal. They'll know better and hopefully will secure a top target in the position.

He has one year left so will be lower because of that. Apparently Arsenal and Bournemouth in for him.

Even if he doesn't ccome good here, i.e a bit underwhelming and Murphy ends up being preferring more times ahead of him than not, at 17m we should probably be able to turn a profit on him after a season or two unless he absolutely stinks the place out, which it doesn't look like he would.

 

Edit: Very low risk signing we absolutely should be in for.

Edit edit: And of course if he comes good, we've got a fantastic bargain that allows us to focus more resources on other needed positions.

This is one of those signings that the smaller clubs buy, develop and sell for £60m in a years time. 

 

I know nothing about him tbh but if we've cast our eye on him im pretty certain he'll have a lot about him

Nailing some of these sort of under valued signings is a quick way to make big progress as it saves so much money that could be then used elsewhere on the squad.

 

This really does look like yet another transfer Bournemouth will nail. Reminds me of the Kluivert deal, which has paid off massively for them. They got him for even cheaper, less than £10 million.

Yes, exactly.

 

Even as a flip if it doesn't pan out, it would be worth it.

 

In the meantime, like you say, worst case scenario, he'd be a useful squad player with Champions League experience.

He's not really a punt though. Assuming the reports are correct, we've scouted him extensively and have been interested for quite a while.
