Absolutely no chance we're spending £50m+ on a striker unless Isak goes imo. That guy from Portugal linked earlier is the sort of market we'd be shopping in.

I’m not so sure, if we get something like £15m-£20m for Wilson, I think we’d be able to bring in a forward for about that much, considering we could amortise the price over 5 years.

Honestly no idea how we go forward this summer. It all looked so positive a year ago but in reality its a monumental task.

It's clear we need to upgrade on most of

Dummett

Ritchie

Krafth

Lascelles

Murphy

Burn

Almiron

Longstaff

Then the likes of Wilson, Trippier and Schar are also aging out and need replacing while they are saleable.

Then we have the Joelinton situation and real possibility of having to sell Bruno or Isak. Don't rule out ashworth coming in for Gordon too.

Throw that together with FFP seemingly handfuffing us and our youth squad a few years away from helping.. man it's a tough one and we are likely going to have to be patient with most of that first list likely remaining at least another year if not more.

If we have to sell Joelinton, Bruno, Isak and Gordon, FFP won't be an issue for at least the next 3 seasons

Similarly bring a RW/FWD with the proceeds of selling Miggy and Murphy with Minteh coming in as the other body.

Yeah, Minteh has shown the he deserves the chance to be the backup RW next season.

I'm not sure but I am sure he'll have been closely monitored and will have the close season here before any decision is made

Everyone except Krafth(always injured), Richie and Dummett are perfectly fine as squad players. Replace those and one of Almiron/Murphy with a purple RW, purple CB and a young striker then we got ourselves a really good squad on paper imo.

Botman

Tino

Hall(??)

Willock

Bruno

Joelinton

Tonali

Gordon

Barnes

Isak

Thats a bunch of quality players who all have a few of their best years ahead of them.

Interested in Cherki from Lyon apparently with Chelsea naturally mentioned too.

You would think they would make up rumours of players we actually need. He started on the left this week

Not sure, but he’s an extremely talented player

There was talk about him in here some time ago, and it was stay away material.

Isnt that guy a total bellend?

He's 20, he was thrown in at 17, labelled to have big potential.

Think he's linked with Fulham.

If we profile him he'll fail the bellend test as you alluded to.

French football expert Jonathan Johnson has warned that Cherki's character would have the potential to cause issues in United's dressing room,

Manchester Utd and Newcastle are keeping tabs on Lyon's Rayan Cherki who has "massive attitude problems", a report claims.

Changed my mind and I think Antonee Robinson at Fulham would be a really good signing for us

Not sure if we'll be after a left back

We've only got 5 players who can play LB.  Best get another couple in just to be on the safe side.

Burn, Targett and Hall we either don't know if they're good enough or we need to replace with better

Trippier/Livramento both naturally play right back

A bit of a rogue shout (Feel free to shoot me down). If we're stilll needing to box-clever this summer would Rodrigo Muniz at Fulham be a shoult? 7 in 17 in the PL this season, 22yo and a different type of player to Isak. I don't he's started a bucket load neither as Jiminez was the starter.

Problem is that Man City / Liverpool / Chelsea / etc have six or seven (Minteh standard) of players about in their youth academies

Probably more  !!

That’s fair, but we are some years away from having 6/7 prospects for each position. I’d be willing to sell the likes of Almirón, and Murphy to fund a new RW, and use Minteh as backup, rather than just selling 1, and keeping one of them as back up.

It’s the same with Wilson, I’d be very happy to sell him for £15m-£20m if we can, and buy someone like Jonathan David with those proceeds and 5 years worth of amortisation.

This is what we’ll need to do, same with our LB options, rather cash in on the likes of Targett, Lewis, and possibly Burn to bring in 1 LB and have Hall as back up.

Or if we keep Burn, can we cash in on Lascelles and Schar to bring in a better CB?

These are things we’ll need to do.

Bonkers no one went for Gyokeres last summer. He'll cost circa £100 million next window.

You'd think him and Sesko will be hot property.

I find it more bonkers that Sweden got Gyökeres, Isak, Elanga, Kulusevski, Larsson(Hugo), Forsberg, Holm and more and still managed to bottle qualifying for Euros and getting downgraded to Group C in Nations league.

Doubt Murphy will go. Having reliable versatile players who are willing to, in the main, be on the bench is really important. Add to this Murphy’s positive role in the squad and he’s the next Matt R.
