People will say PSR etc.  but all of those players I’ve listed would go for double the amount we bought them for; we just don’t want to sell them.

 

We have the foundations of a very strong team, that really just needs filling out with more quality.

 

I think this can be achieved by bringing in young players with high potential that can contribute, but don't come with the big fees of more proven players.

 

Focusing more on adding the more proven players will not bee affordable if we are to keep key players. To do that we will need to sell one of our key players for big money, which would then likely have to be Isak, Bruno or Gordon.

 

Brighton do not have the quality of established players we already have at the club, and so I don't think it's comparable.

 

It's about adding to the current group in order to give us a better chance to compete, without losing any of them. This will mean some element of risk needs to be taken, and so the scouting will need to be on point.

I'd much rather have Pope than Dubravka as our number 2. Better shot stopper, sweeper keeper, 4 years younger, didn't leave to man u etc etc. Though I do appreciate what Dubs gives us by with the ball at his feet

I'd start popey like over dubs still think he's the better keeper overall. 

Is the keeper I'm most confident with to pull out a worldie to keep us in the game, and help our lack of pace at the back by coming out and clearing. 

Dubs is better passer that's it. 

But of late he's not getting used much in our passing build ups.

Also I'd let schar tripps willock Wilson and Longstaff go, and rebuild with what ever money we can get from Willock and Longstaff.

Schar will stay, but agree on the rest. We need a little bit of a reshuffle in midfield I think, desperate for a backup striker, and as we know RW and CB.

Given Lascelles is likely off we really need to keep Schar, but hopefully next season we will have someone we are phasing in to be his successor.

I'd keep lascelles offers us more leadership a beast in the opposition box plus doesn't let his standards slip. Schar is finished as a premier league player now in my opinion.

Maybe bring Alex Murphy into the main squad for schar at seasons end. He seems to be playing regularly at Bolton.

Aye, for the way we set up, I think another CM is key. Not as key as RW and CB so I’m not confident we will target one.

I don't think he should be. I reckon we'll only keep them both if we are delaying signing a younger keeper and putting our transfer spend in other areas of the pitch.

I think we'll end up signing a goalkeeper in the summer. Somebody young, with high potential, who I'd expect to compete straight away for number 1 spot (looking at you Lucas Chevalier).

Pope is miles better than Dubravka. At least he's miles better as a goalkeeper, which is the main metric I judge my goalkeepers by.

 

If you want the best footballer in goal, put Tonali or Bruno there. Yes, being competent with your kicking is a good bonus but it's getting massively overplayed by every team right now and the pendulum needs to swing back a bit the other way.

Neither are good enough for us. One because he's not a very good footballer and the other because he's not a very good goalkeeper. Neither should be our number 1 keeper, but either of them could be number 2.

I hold both in a similar regard now.

 

Both are good, have their strengths but also fully expect a clanger now and then. Ready to upgrade.

Pope is significantly better like. We’ve got into this weird position because he’s been injured and Dubs has done OK. But Pope is in an entirely different bracket IMO. 
 

I am biased against Dubs because of  the Man Utd thing TBF.

This season Dubs has been better (quite significantly imo) and has rightly kept his place, if we're picking them on their peak, Pope is better, though Prime Dubs under Rafa runs him close imo.
