I'm not criticising Isak or dropping him at all, he's one of the best CFs in the world imo but I also think he's good enough to drop 15 yards deeper and get move involved in the build up. He's that good he could do it and excel at it. Would definitely like to see it at some point

Whilst I agree I think this could work, I think Isak sees himself as the main man. Giving up the role to another striker could agitate him

Logic says yes but he wants big money apparently and I think he’ll go there. Poor football decision but there you have it. I might be proved wrong

I agree and he's be right - he is. I'm just thinking of a way to play one or the other or both. If he came then he wouldn't be first choice CF but he'd get plenty of time on the pitch. Having Isak doesn't automatically prevent us from going for him :thup:

Jacob Ramsey is one I can’t make up my mind about, but I can definitely see us going for him given Villa’s PSR situation. He’d be ideal competition for LCM, but his injury record is patchy at best, especially last season.

Here's 2 I'd like us to fix.

Agree, plus a technical ball playing midfielder, that can beat a man, someone with guile and vision...And the obvioud right wing/forward and a striker.

Remember how utterly fucking devastating they were together when we would start one of Isak/Wilson and then bring the other on for the last half hour, Isak on the left and Wilson through the middle?

 

Think there’s a fair chance the plan would be for them to start alternating games, playing 90 minutes when they start and then being on the bench for the next game with a guaranteed half hour against tired legs.

 

It’s plenty of football for both of them IMO, and there’s scope for us to start them both on occasion too.

 

Would possibly mean one of Gordon or Barnes becomes expendable though.

Agree, 5 at the back with Tino and Hall as attacking wingbacks. sandro, bruno and big joe. Delap and Isak just off him, as he seems to prefer.

I think he'd be class for them to be honest.

 

The good thing about Delap is that he offers the donkey work as a prerequisite and then also has the potential for lots of goals.

I think there's a few players we had our hat in the ring for but probably weren't convinced they would happen, Huijsen, Cunha, Delap etc.

 

I'm fully expecting movement soon for us, given Howes comments. At the very least, I'd like to find out who our top targets are.

 

I'd be shocked if we aren't looking abroad, at least partially, given Mitchell's involvement.

Delap to Chelsea makes a lot of sense. The only problem being I could easily see him signing for them early on this summer and being promised game time, then they go and sign Vlahovic/Sesko/Gyokeres a few weeks later and then he'll be stuck on the bench most of the season.

I saw Paul Mitchell outside of SJP last week, and he said that theirs not long until we find out who are targets/signings will be.

I fully expect them to try and get some signings in for the initial 10 days of the transfer window opening.
