20 years old, Ligue 2 experience. Looks like a project player which is fine but we need a replacement for Pope not a No2 to ‘challenge’ in the future.

Highly unlikely Howe will trust a young keeper from the French second tier to come straight in. If we aren’t buying a more experienced keeper it would suggest Pope will be the starting No1 next season which concerns me massively.

I don't think there's any chance of that. We've already tried to sign at least 2 or 3 replacements. It's a known weakness.

Well he looks absolutely mint . Seriously though, for a 20 year old keeper he looks like he can do the lot in that video - sweeping up outside his box, he's massive, passes out well off both feet, as well as some great saves. Oh and scores penalties, most importantly

I don't think Howe can really come out and say the specific players we're looking to replace, or not.

One is probably off in the summer and isn’t a striker 

One is not a striker and should be being utilised as a number 10 and seems not to fit EH playing style 

One is nothing more than a squad back up (he is a nice lad but nowhere near good enough for the level we should be aspiring to)

And one is glue in the making…

If we can't get a keeper that Howe wants then he'll probably be ok with bringing in a young hopeful and go with Pope another season. What anyone else thinks is immaterial to him.
