We are thinking FFP.

He’s saying - despite performing really well Saudi aren’t interested in our top performers. Callum Wilson, Bruno, not even Schar. Like Saudi have taken Neves and Mitro.  saying Saudi don’t want our best player assets…. Because it’s their own asset.

But that’s a weak argument.  Salah is the only crown jewel player in the top 6 + Chelsea last season  that has been heavily linked.  Fabinho, Henderson and all the Chelsea lot  - the clubs were happy sellers. Big wages, good fee, not performing at that level - happy to sell.

Yep we’ve also got the highest number of hometown players and gave the most minutes to domestic players of any team in the league - those sort of players unlikely to want to go to the gulf.

If you look at players arguably still in their prime years who weren’t Muslim it’s only really Neves and Mitro. Both at teams unlikely to trouble silverware or CL and both sold for prices they’d not have got from another PL or Euro team.

I also think Saudi - whether it’s a PIF club or not - can’t be bothered with the scrutiny. It was a fight to justify ASM for 23m, so how are you even trying to price Bruno or someone of his ilk?

That Veiga guy from Spain has gone he's 21 (might have name and age wrong but there's a young Spanish lad that's gone).  Was linked with big clubs, seems like none came in for him.

But aye he's comparing us to Wolves and Fulham. But we are in the CL and have massive potential.

He's still going trying to justify that tweet's nonexistent argument in the replies, almost 3 hours after it was sent.

Never has this rung truer.

It's funny because clubs would love it if we sold Bruno to Saudi for £40m. They wouldn't know what to do if we sold him to Saudi for £80-90m because that's actually fair.

I think it would be also possible to inflate the figure even further.. I mean how much did Liverpool sell Coutinhio for ?

And the market has only went north since then.

Coutinho is not a reasonable comparison. But certainly Rice & Caicedo are.

I'm not trying to flog Bruno btw. Just pointing out the stupidity of his tweet.

Playing in tonight’s CL qualifier vs Rangers btw. Looking decent.

Was expecting him to be all pace with questionable end product, so far he's looked to deliver crosses rather than beat his man.

Delivered a couple of nice balls so far.

Yeah, plays with his head up.

Also looks to make runs in behind a lot, but his teammates keep missing them.

Liking the look of him so far.

Disappointing to see other clubs around us making some very nice moves and us just kind of letting these deals pass up by. Fati to Brighton and Lenglet to Aston Villa. When is deadline day this year.

We’ve made our moves
