NUFC Transfer Rumours

Think if Adam Armstrong was now at NUFC (say as a 20/21 year old) he would have been the ideal 3rd striker imo - he needed a couple of loan seasons to get some experience

He looked so far out of his depth in the PL with Southampton and that's with bags of playing time in the Championship. Pointless having players for the sake of it.

That’s the problem - if they do they won’t as they’ll want better. Almost a case of get to playoffs, miss out and sign him for the next season.

Nah they will take him for £2/3m (not sure how long his contact with us is) - he has prem experience - spent so many years in the area, playing as well as he has done for a while - makes too much sense all round

Only ever seen bits of him after we were linked the first time. When his agent was down the Quayside.

Would expect more goals from him in that league. Considering they’re not fond of defending.

It looks like Openda the striker they got from Lens has far exceeded expectations and has made the number 9 spot his.

And so it's probably why they are looking to get money for Sesko now as they won't be able to increase his value if he isn't a main feature in the first team.

The David Nugent/Ebanks Blake line. Imo.

I think Armstrong COULD have been PL good, if he'd be caught by the right people at the right time. Full respect to the lad for carving out a decent career though. Nice to see him do well.

Young players need to play competitive football. They won’t improve by being a permanent sub.

They won’t pay a fee for him. His wages are pretty high and he has no resale value.

Would make sense if we went for Sesko while his numbers / stock is down, just like we did with Isak, if we're confident in his ability and means if fitting in our team

Yeah, absolutely.

Same with Goncalo Ramos at PSG.

Pizza Rob seems to barely post ITK bits, majority of the time it's his shit patter, which makes me more inclined to believe compared to say a Sean Casey who puts hundreds of tweets out there, as if he has a hidden camera in our meeting rooms

Casey is a whopper. Hasn’t got a bastard clue but somehow people cling onto what he says.

Armstrong scored a total of 4 PL goals in his two PL seasons with Southampton

He's this era's Michael Chopra.
