Fuckin hate when posters reply to other posters with 'i would rather let Howe and Ashworth decide what to do than you'. God forbid fans on a fan forum have an opinion.

If you're referring to my comment, that's a bit of a straw man like.

you mention that the Frimpong fee would likely be slightly above that of Livramento. At the moment, it appears the Livramento transfer has stalled because Southampton do not want to accept our offer of paying via clauses most likely linked to appearances due to injury. The Frimpong fee would likely not include these clauses, so we would be paying the fee either all at once or in regular instalments which may not suit the club and its ffp requirements.

All reports have shown that the ree is 30m straight, no where I have seen any talk of clauses or instalments, besides it is reported they want a very unworthy 40m to 50m pounds(absurd). While leverkusen will demand 40m at most and he is worth it given his stats.

Livramento is a proven performer in the PL (if he can regain his pre-injury standard). Frimpong has played well in Scotland and now currently for Leverkusen, but there would still be a potentially small element of risk in whether he could transition to the more physical and demanding league in England.

How is livramento a proven performer in pl? Only one average performed season. Frimpong has played very good in more than 3 season in 2 different leagues(one of them is a top league) and has played well too in the toughest European competitions. So who is more proven?. C'mon listen to what you are saying

Because Livramento has actually played in the league we compete in, rather than the Bundesliga, where a large number of players have struggled to adapt to the PL, despite performing well in Germany.

Secondly, if you think we are offering a straight £30M for Livramento I dunno what you've been reading as every reputable source here suggests it’s a heavily structured deal taking into account both his injury status and our FFP restrictions. So basically Frimpong for an additional 25% cost doesn’t fit with the clubs plans.

Played in pl but not performed up to standard. And what of ucl? What of the pressure of playing in multiple competitions? What of competing for high stakes? Frimpong has all that, and livramento?. There's is no way playing average in a single season is more of proven criteria than playing in more than 1 league, ucl and performing well in uel. Well based on your logic longstaff is more proven than tonali since Sean has played multiple seasons in pl. Then we should have just neglected signing tonali.

May not happen so point is likely moot. Unless we get a whiff that they are interested forget Frimpong.

Stop talking of 30m, it's has been rejected. And Don't forget that those reputable sources are reporting that soton want 40m-ish fee which is already 25% additional costs which still doesn't fit.

Well done you continue to convince yourself ?. Just admit you’ve never seen Livramento play.

One season where according to you he was crap, according to everyone else was one of the best right backs in the league at a very tender age, which also resulted in a call up to the national setup.

Fella we get it, you’d rather we signed Frimpong for some reason. But there have been no links so it's just that an idea in your head. I dunno what to tell you, the coaching staff at Newcastle maybe.don't rate him, maybe Leverkusen might be deemed too difficult to negotiate with now they’ve sold  Szoboszlai. Or hold on to your hat, maybe he doesn’t want to leave Leverkusen.

Basically what I’m trying to say is, it looks like the club's recruitment team like the look of Livramento and there are concrete links that we are attempting to negotiate with Southampton to sign him, hence why we are talking about him in a thread on a Newcastle United forum. There have been no links to Frimpong other than the ones in your imagination, so maybe if you want to discuss Frimpong so much, maybe do so on a Leverkusen forum? Start a fanclub? Stalk him…..

Honestly, time to take some time out.  You’re just talking complete shite now.  Nothing wrong with preferring that the club sign one player over another, but this is just getting odd.
