Reports emerging that we are loaning out Lucas Debolle to Feyenoord, for him to be part of their U21 team. Article also mentions an affiliation between the clubs, which would be good news iyam: https://1908.nl/artikelen/de-bolle-moet-feyenoord-komen-versterken

Saw him in both games of the championship play off final v Airdrie. Started the first game and came off the bench 2nd leg. He didn’t really stand out. Did very little in fact.

didn’t the club announce some sort of affiliation/partnership with Feyenoord after the Minteh loan or have I made that up? I’m sure I remember seeing something about it and laughing because the Mackems think they have some special friendship with them

A round-up of the weekend's action involving the Magpies' loanees, featuring a first Eredivisie goal for a teenage winger...

Yankuba Minteh

The Gambian wideman came off the bench for Feyenoord at Utrecht ten minutes into the second period and, with his side crusing to an eventual 5-1 victory in the Dutch top flight, he added extra gloss to the win with his first goal for the club. Dancing past the goalkeeper, the youngster then beat a retreating defender before slamming home into an empty goal to round off a fine day for him and his team.

Garang Kuol

Australian forward Kuol was also in action in the Eredivisie at the weekend, making his first start for FC Volendam and playing 80 minutes of their 2-0 home defeat to FC Twente.

Harrison Ashby

Full back Ashby has enjoyed a promising start to his loan at Championship side Swansea City, but was withdrawn at half time during their eventual 2-1 defeat to Bristol City on Saturday.

Ryan Fraser

Scotland international Fraser had an afternoon to forget, as Southampton were thrashed 5-0 by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. He came on as a half time substitute for the Saints, with the score at 3-0.

Jeff Hendrick

Hendrick joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day, but didn't sign in time to make his debut in their 0-0 Championship draw at Leeds United.

Jamal Lewis

Left back Lewis again missed out on making his Watford bow through injury as the Hornets were held to a 3-3 draw at Coventry City in the second tier.

Kell Watts

Watts enjoyed a full 90-minute outing for Wigan Athletic as the Latics were beaten 2-1 at Blackpool in League One.

Max Thompson

Goalkeeper Thompson has had a fine start to his time at Northampton Town, but the teenager couldn't manage to keep a third successive clean sheet as they were beaten 1-0 by Wycombe Wanderers.

Joe White

White was another late exit at the back end of the transfer window, and he made his debut for Crewe Alexandra as they beat MK Dons 3-1 at home. The midfielder stepped off the bench just after the hour mark in the League Two clash.

Matty Bondswell

Defender Bondswell didn't make it off the sidelines during Newport County's 2-2 draw at home to AFC Wimbledon.

Jay Turner-Cooke

Having made his St Johnstone debut away against champions Celtic last week, Turner-Cooke was pitched in to a 2-2 draw with Dundee in the Scottish Premiership. He played the first 69 minutes before being replaced.

Cameron Ferguson

Frontman Ferguson started for Forfar Athletic against Clyde in Scottish League Two, but was taken off with 20 minutes remaining in what ended a goalless draw.

one to review in Jan

Think there must be something wrong with the lad given he clearly has talent but never seems to be favoured anywhere.

Wow, so many loan players. I had never even heard of Thompson or the Peruvian lad. Obviously, bar one or two, mainly just a mix of deadwood, and young-ish players who were here before the takeover and unlikely to do anything here, but would still be good some of them do well to either get a nominal fee for them, or get them off the wage bill permanently.

The (calibre of) loan list should look a lot different in 2 or 3 years time...

Didn't realise Cameron Ferguson was up at Forfar.

We clearly don't rate him as that league is utterly dire...watched them regularly while at University, and I could walk in to their team now despite being 40+ and pushing 15 stone

Joe White

The Cumbrian youngster was introduced at half-time for the Alex in their League Two trip to Grimsby Town and was on target in the closing stages at Blundell Park but the Mariners held on for a 2-1 victory following goals from Abo Eisa and Danny Rose, leaving Crewe situated in fifth place of the English fourth tier, seven points adrift of leaders Stockport County.

Max Thompson

The Ponteland-born goalkeeper, a representative of England at under-18 level, produced his fourth clean sheet of the 2023/24 campaign for Northampton Town as the Cobblers recorded a 3-0 win against Fleetwood Town.

Jon Brady’s side, who secured promotion to League One last term, occupy 12th spot on 26 points, both ten adrift and above the play-off spots and relegation zone respectively.

Ryan Fraser and Jamal Lewis

Fraser, capped 26 times by Scotland at senior level, replaced Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz at half-time in a 1-1 draw away at Watford and, despite Ché Adams’ opener for the visitors, Rhys Healey’s stoppage-time equaliser denied the Saints a third Championship victory in a row.

Lewis started the Championship clash at Vicarage Road before the Northern Ireland international was replaced by Giorgi Chakvetadze in the 80th minute.

Yankuba Minteh and Garang Kuol

Minteh completed the opening 66 minutes of Feyenoord’s 3-1 win against FC Volendam in the Eredivisie on Thursday, while Kuol was an unused substitute for the visitors at De Kuip.

Kell Watts

Watts played the opening 64 minutes of Wigan Athletic’s goalless home draw against Lincoln City before the Alnwick-born defender, who won the 2021/22 League One title whilst on loan with the Latics, was substituted in place of Steven Sessegnon.

Matty Bondswell

The Nottingham-born left-back, a representative of England from under-15 to under-18 level, made a cameo appearance from the substitutes’ bench during Newport County’s 2-1 defeat away at Tranmere Rovers.

The former RB Leipzig defender replaced James Clarke in the 83rd minute and picked up a yellow card before Connor Jennings’ late winner condemned the Exiles to a narrow defeat on Merseyside.

Isaac Hayden

Hayden was absent from the matchday squad as Standard Liege were held to a 2-2 draw away at Anderlecht in the Belgian First Division on Sunday.

Jeff Hendrick

Sheffield Wednesday claimed a 1-0 win against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium but Hendrick was not involved for the Owls.

Jay Turner-Cooke

The South Shields-born teenager was an unused substitute for St Johnstone’s 1-1 draw away at Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Cameron Ferguson

The Liverpool-born striker, son of former Magpies forward Duncan, was introduced in the final four minutes of Forfar’s 1-0 away defeat against Spartans in Scottish League Two on Saturday.
