Really need this guy back, man.  You can't get by with 2 fit wingers as we have been for months, it's the primary position that needs freshened up in-game.  Think he'll be class for us as well.

Absolutely, our wingers being dead is a massive contributing factor to our defence looking shaky.

Absolutely gutting the ASM replacement has been more injury prone, such rotten luck.

Howe saying he might still need an operation as well.

that’s nuts, he’s been out for ages already and they’re still not sure whether he needs an operation or not? How does that even work?

It means our medical department is lacking. Which makes sense as it’s one of the few areas which hasn’t seen much improvement since the takeover.

This is pretty embarrassing if he’s out for 3 months pre surgery.

Probably gonna have to bring Longstaff into midfield so we can use Joelinton for rotation with Gordon.

Anderson can’t be too far away now surely either? He can play both positions

Really? If true that's at least Botman, Murphy and now Barnes.. Maybe we should just accept when surgery is an option?

I know my sarcastic 'questions need to be asked' posts are a bore but they genuinely need to look in to the medical side of the club. Freak injuries can't be helped but we seem to have so many setbacks in recovery it's absolutely mad.

Sounds eerily similar to the Botman case. Let’s get the medical department improved ffs.

It's not the medical department.

In Botman's case, he has been backwards and forwards to the Netherlands for specialist treatment / assessment, and the concensus from the specialists was to just continue to build his fitness back up and physio work. There is the potential he would need an operation IF the physio work isn't successful or he breaks down again (which would mean an 8 month layoff by the way).

But it's nothing to do with an issue in our medical department.

Same with Barnes... they attempt to avoid operations if at all possible. Specialists will always advise to build back to fitness with physio work before thinking about operations.

The only one I think could be levelled at our medical team is the Willock re-occurence.

I still don’t think that the injury crisis is ‘bad luck’.  There’s a problem here.  This isn’t happening elsewhere - our lot drop like flies, and either get immediately re-injured or short absences become long ones

https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php Never used it before so no idea but thought Chelsea and Man U were similar

If what you’re saying is accurate why are we the team who seems to be only facing these issues? Our injury reoccurrence rate is astonishing.

maybe other clubs take a surgery first approach knowing a reoccurrence after physio treatment is an absolute disaster.

January doesn't sound that bad, but somehow that's like another 6 games at least.

Klopp was moaning about MaCallistar being out for over a week for same reason.

December fixture is a bit of a joke for clubs trying to compete.
